Has there ever a championship team falling into disarray as fast as this Lakers team? I am so happy for them.

One of the TV or radio personalities compared LeBron to Wilt in that they are not true Lakers, they just played for the Lakers. Guys like Magic and Kobe are Lakers. Forever Lakers.

The Lakers's bubble championship team was the least organic championship the Lakers have ever won. For all kinds of reasons it just wasn't a true championship, much less a true Lakers's championship. It was but isn't a Lakers's championship.

At the same time, the Lakers organization seems like it's full of snakes. LeBron and Klutch, Jeannie Buss, Pelinka, apparently Kurt Rambis and his wife, Magic, even Jerry West are all after each others heads. Heads will continue to roll. Magic just got his head out of the way of the guillotine before one or more of those snakes cut it off.

Name me another star player, playing this well at age 37. You actually expect him to carry this Lakers team? I'm shocked he can keep
Up this level of play for 17 years. If this was 7 years ago he'd have them in the playoffs easy.

Also, to add to the soap opera, Shaq said it would be a mistake to trade LeBron.

The Lakers do need to think about cashing in their chips before they're left with nothing when LeBron leaves. Either that or double down and sign him to a Kobe-like extension through his age 40 season. Unlike Kobe, though, the Lakers didn't get but 1 championship in Orlando and a first round exit in return.

Reading through this thread from the beginning is a fun exercise.

After years of irrefutable evidence that Westbrook is the biggest anchor in the league, HE STILL had people fooled into thinking this would be fun and could work.

lol who's even left from that championship team aside from Lebron and AD. Dwight? Lebron traded or got rid of everyone else.

That's the point. How could you dismantle a team like that just one year after winning a championship. The only "unfortunate" think that happened was AD's injury. But AD has always been injured.

They got Melo, They got Ariza, They got Westbrook. Every one of these moves were made with their eyes open. Nobody forced them to do it. No unforeseen natural disasters.

They totally made their own bed. And Westbrook was the centerpiece of the collapse.

Doesnt matter what conference. Young Lebron was a beast on both ends of the floor. Stop hating. He carried boobie Gibson to the finals by beating the champion Pistons.
