Don't care much for the overcooked, crispy baked sweets outside that loses flavor. I'd rather have the center that's softer and sweeter.

But for cooked meats, gimme the outside where it's seasoned and charred.

    Rockets need a centerpiece.

The answer is still center piece.

Typically I'd take the center piece in most circumstances because I'm not confident that the person preparing it could achieve the perfect corner. Most people burn those sides up and they aren't good.

Side pieces end up costing way more than your main piece in the long run.

You can cook brownies in a water bath like a cheesecake and you will not have burned edges, so I've been told.

I do mine normally but just long enough to get the outside perfect and still have a bit of gooey center (great with vanilla icecream)

If the brownie is good? Side/edge piece.

If the brownie kinda sucks? Center.

I like the crisp. I understand the middle is easier to ingest for a certain demographic

But some of us young people still have and want to use our teeth.

For brownies, as pictured, center piece. For cake, side piece (corner even better) for the extra frosting.

Nobody is voting "other," but I had been tempted. I'm just not sure what that would be, but it could be like my friend Becca's brownies, which are amazing but she cuts them too small and they turn into just jumbles of gooey crumbs. *drool* I guess that might be "other."
