This guy is 6'11", 260, and he keeps coming back every summer. Does anybody know if the Rockets management thinks Venson will ever make the squad? I have never seen him play. Thanks in advance.

I thought he still had a contract with the Rockets? I'm probably wrong though.

He is listed at 6'9'' in Italy where he played the last 2 years ( in division 2 ). Last year he wasn't able to play in the RMR because of an injury.

In my mind Tyrone Washington is a little closer to make the squad.
He played also in Italy the last 2 years, but although he started in division 2 also, he plays now in division 1 -by the end of the last season- with some success.

What do you need to do to be able to play in Italy? Perhaps I can make a division 9 team. I don't care if it's pick-up game sin a schoolyard. It just sounds fun. I wonder if they have a need for a 6' white guy with no shot or dribble who's undergone 2 reconstructive knee surgeries? I guess I'll get to work on my highlight reel.

Honestly, if I were a mediocre player, I would stay in Europe. What fun....

Washington did a FANTASTIC job in last years Revue. He played great defense and was tenacious on the boards. He also had a few good blocks. Of course, it was the Revue, but he outplayed Kenny Thomas in my opinion.

Who was it that played in the preseason last year? His name was like, Stais Boseman or something?

getsmartnow: he has no contract with the Rockets, but they still have the rights to him as long as he continues to play professional ball without interruption.

According the Clutch's write-up on V. Hamilton, he measured 6'11" before the draft.

I look forward to seeing if Hamilton or Dench have improved their games at all (of course, I realize they are long shots).
