I'm sorry, but Biden can't even hold his pee. How will he attack Russia? Russia will soon become a threat to the whole of Europe. Unfortunately, the end of the road for Europe does not look good. Someone has to stop this stupid Putin guy.

I don't think Trump or Biden (or please not members of our pathetic House of Reps) should be the point of this thread, TBH. We have such a CNN/FOX warping of our collective psyche.

Putin is the point. Aging KGB paranoid freak, surrounding himself strictly with yes men, pursues delusions of "correcting" the late 20th century -- enormous damage and misery and refugee crises be damned. Where does it stop? And is there anyone left in his powerful circles who could oppose him? I'm thinking the answer is "no." He's basically started to emulate Stalin, from what I can tell.

held putin in check? read a couple post up.
its simple why would putin move on countries to keep NATO out if trump was wanting to withdraw from NATO? NATO is nothing without USA thus they had the same agenda. so tell me again why would putin make a move if trump was doing the work for him

    Agreed.

So is there a strategical reason to not declare him a terrorist and take him out with targeted assassination?

I'm against that for numerous reasons. Number one is that it's wrong, weakens our standing on political assassinations, etc.

But I'm not sure who among the loyalists would replace him, and if they are better or worse. They definitely don't have the power that he has as far as drawing loyalty. I can't imagine they would be more aggressive and expansionist in their policies but perhaps they would be.

No one is attacking Russia and risking nuclear Armageddon. There's a reason why the US and Russia intentionally avoided fighting each other directly during the Cold War. Biden did about as much as he could given the situation. The administration leaked all of their intelligence and made it clear to the world that this was going to happen. Remember, the EU and NATO weren't exactly united on this until recently. A lot of that unity now is a result of the administration communicating the severity of this in advance.

Putin didn't have the balls to pull this crap while Trump was in office. Biden is a milquetoast and the whole world knows it.

They never had nuke capabilities. They had a pile of nuke hardware with no control. What they gave up was the hardware and with that the option to develop that control, something that would require tremendous effort.

The NPR piece is more relevant about the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances between Ukraine (other states agreeing to non-proliferation of nuclear weapons) and the Russian Federation, UK, and the US in 1994. Security Assurances include respecting independence and sovereignty of existing borders in 1994, no threat or use of force, no economic pressure, assistance if they are a victim of aggression... Ukrainian bringing this up rightfully so for assurance of security, for assistance, and to show Russia violating it (of course, Russia has now violated this and a bunch of other agreements). The Ukrainian expert on it said it's not simple to understand but (of course) our narrative is 'look, we gave up nuclear option (that's the exact word she used - "option") for assurance, and what's happening to us is not a good look' for nuclear non-proliferation. But she stated Ukraine did the right thing, the world is safer for it, and that the world stands by Ukraine today goes a long way against this aggression.

Israels sophisticated army is underpinned and fortified by the west. They have totally relied on the west and continue to do so.

The Ukraine's don't have the history that the U.S. and Israel share, and Israel is in NATO so they have an agreement with the west.

It's not the same at all, you are showing very little knowledge of the facts.

He didn't have to. Trump weakened Ukraine, NATO, Europe, and the US. Biden has done an impressive job getting the alliances back together. Putin Russia is isolated today and he won't ever have standing again. That's the risk he took that he didn't have to take with Trump doing his bidding.

It's incredible how difficult it is for libs to just close the lights and admit voting for Biden was a mistake. How many disasters will it take?
