Harden ACCIDENTLY missed the OPT IN for Philly

    This is cold cold cold, Harden filed his OPT in paperwork late.....OH REALLY - which was part of the deal for the Philly trade in so he can literally opt out still this year.

    "When the Philadelphia 76ers agreed to trade Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two future first-round picks for James Harden, part of the deal, at least so they thought, was for Harden to opt in to the final year of his contract. This move would’ve kept Harden from testing the open market until the summer of 2023.

    However, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania on ‘The Real Ones’ podcast, the opt-in never happened because Harden missed the deadline for the paperwork to be processed.

    "The paperwork was filed, but they did not meet the buzzer for the opt-in,” says Charania.

    He could still do it later, but this feels like a very slick move - I mean you know MOREY was on top of it - saying...dude where is that paperwork."

    -Thank you @DaDakota , I didn't know about this. Apparently @YOLO and @ThatBoyNick do not approve or think it's neat, but I think it's neat.

    Lebron's not a free agent...

    And if Morey was in on it, he'd never have asked that to be a condition of the trade in the first place.
