Exactly. The Flores suit threw wrenches of all sorts in every direction. The narrative is now that Calhoun finally put his foot down and said enough is enough. Lovie was the guy all along. mmmhmmm sure, Calhoun. But the way I see it, Sometimes inexplicable things happen. Those things probably just saved the franchise from further damage if that's possible. Lovie is talking like he's the puppeteer, a complete opposite from Culley. It finally resembling a franchise, a poverty franchise mind you, but it has moved away from a circus show. Houston Texans fans should all be thanking Flores' precise launching of the law suit. You're the real mvp. It's like when Sean Elliot failed his physical, a gift from the gods.
Ya not sure what the point of that tweet was. The fact that McCown remained one of the final candidates until the very end tells me everything. Hell for all we know, McCown could’ve turned down a place on the staff just like he did to the Eagles last year.
Some reports came out saying that Caserio wasn’t in now way going to make McCown HC but liked his football acumen.
Ya I don’t buy that for one second given that they officially announced they interviewed him 3 times going back to last season, more than any other candidate.
Right but I don’t see how this definitively proves Caserio has the real power in this organization. If he did and you believe he had no interest in bringing McCown in as HC, I don’t think he would have sat down and interviewed him 3 times. Moot point at this juncture so all good.
Pats board wants a “tag and trade”. I’d love to add him to Hamilton in our new and improved secondary next season.
Spotrac puts his market value at 5/ 105 million. He would be the highest paid corner which makes sense considering he is only 26 years old. But it’s gonna be well out of the Texans range.
Some of the clowns on local radio, notably Ron Hughley and now John Lopez, are way, way, way too down on Davis Mills. Trade him for a 3rd round pick?? So we use a 3rd to develop him for a year and then pass him off to someone else to possibly reap the benefits? Seems legit.
Maybe I’m missing something, W how? Do we save money bc we still owed part of his contract or something?
