When I was younger, I kind of hated on him. I was like wtf, just get on the plane. It took me a long time to understand how serious and debilitating anxiety disorders can be. I always thought he was a great thinker though and now he's one of the few openly standing up for Uyghurs. I hope he wins.
Yep Royce White is from Minneapolis and was very active during the George Floyd protests. This is the first I'm hearing about him running for Omar's seat. My guess is his chances aren't good.
Her seat isn't an absolutely safe seat and she has a pretty big target on her back but she still won her last election pretty easily including against a well financed primary opponent. I wouldn't put money on Royce White or anyone else beating her in 2022.
Hugely safe seat but boy did she underperform in 2020 relative to Biden. But to give people an idea of how blue this seat is, Biden won 80 percent of the vote in 2020. No Republican will ever win that seat. Any Republican running in this seat is basically running a grift to raise millions. It's no different than a Democrat running against Mitch McConnell. These people just run campaigns to steal money from donors who don't know any better. With that said, someone will eventually primary Omar.
