I have grown to HATE how Christian Wood plays basketball.

He's our best player but he's very selfish and doesn't come close to making anyone around him better. He always seems like he's looking to "get his" even if it means slowing the team's momentum.

When Wood first got here and was playing with Harden & Wall (even though JH had already quit) he showed a lot of bb-iq. Then with just Wall he looked like a smart player, too.

We have all seen smaller players, both height and weight, no get pushed around like Wood does, NOW.

That adds to my point ON PAPER Wood is a great player if not an all star. He can do a lot of things. That is frustrating because in reality he not. To use a DD term “fools gold”

I think Wood is making this season as a combine showoff. When 2022 Summer Free Agency rolls around, he thinks he can get those dollars somewhere else that he isn't going to get here.

As much as I hate the guy, I'm glad he is taking over the efforts for Wall and leading the TANK charge! :)

He isn’t a FA in 2022, it will have to be a sign and trade or a trade and wait for the receiving team to evaluate whether they want to immediately extend or not.

The whole squad's defense was awful, yes. But when I see that a team gets outrebounded by 15, that it allowed 64 points in the paint, and that the opposing team's big has twice as many boards as your starting center, I think it's pretty easy to find someone to put a huge chunk of the blame on. Dude got outplayed by Zubac, and Wood getting outplayed by supposedly inferior big men is a trend that's happening too often.

When you're coming off a game where you legitimately challenged the league's best team on the road and when your starting center outrebounded and outplayed the team's opposing big, one of the top 10 centers in the league, last night just made Wood's problems stand out that much more. Wood is just not a positive to the roster on either side of the ball right now, and if the Rockets want to get better, he needs to go.

He would be better off if we had leadership on the floor and on the bench.
