Not getting enough shot attempts .with that shooting percentage, he could be easily averaging over 20 pts a game

Steph and Reggie never needed to ask Silas.

He doesn't get enough touches to be putting up better numbers. His shooting is getting to the point where of he was getting as many attempts as a scorer he would be putting up scorer numbers.
It's ok to like Mobely and still like the kid l, that is the beauty of sports!!

Most def not that would be ludicrous. Playing pg would mean taking less shots. I am fairly certain I am trying to make the opposite point lol
I mean granted he hasn't led his team to 10 consecutive NBA championships in one season or gotten inducted to the hall of Fame in his rookie season like Mobely has, but he is doing ok.

You’re litereally describing every rookie and volume scorer in the league? Most common complaint of harden? Falls asleep off ball. Common complaint of Westbrook? Falls asleep off ball. Kyrie, dame, Beal, Levine, Mitchell, book before cp3? All not good off ball.

Not to be a shot at you but genuine question. Where is he supposed to move? Tate being a non shooter clogs up a whole side of the court. Usually a 2 man game with KPJ and wood is going on at the elbow top of the key. Or we’re playing 5 out with the big on the perimeter and there’s no real spacing without using the dunker spot. I guess what I’m saying is when I see a court that crowded is move to the corner as well.

Rewatched the first half of the suns game and green was everywhere to help on rotations for sengun. I was more impressed with that half of defense shown by sengun, tate, and green then I had all year. I strongly believe replacing wood with a better defender will vastly improve the team defense b

How do you know? Coaches should be teaching offensive sets, even if they are loosely constructed. I’m pretty sure JG will do whatever is asked of him. I haven’t seen any evidence that Silas coaches any kind of motion offense. If he does coach that and the players refuse to follow his “scheme” then that’s still on Silas.

Green is doing better, but Silas is sucking even more.

Silas has opened up the offense a bit more over the last 5-10 games or so. It was mainly a 2 man pick and roll offense for the starters and a motion offense for the bench, but now there's more movement. With Shroeder there's been both movement and downhill play

Because Steph and Reggie played same way in college.

Like Green, neither are true PG and are on the skinny side so you need to move to create opportunities.

Rockets need to run multiple off ball screens for Green but that requires him to navigate through traffic more gracefully and purposefully.

    With and without the ball.

Right now Green just runs straight into defenders.

When Silas was first hired he promised a less static offense, still 5 out but with more movement.

Not just ball movement but player movement.

Staying in corner is easy but lazy.

Green can call more off ball screens opposite the 2 man game.

Normally he is part of the 2 man game but he's become a little predictable because he cant get to rim when paint is crowded.

Teams are daring him to shoot 3. It's a very good thing that his 3ball has improved recently but he still needs to open up his offensive repertoire.

And I'm not talking about adding strength so he can initiate and take more contact when finishing or ball handling. That will have to come in off season.

I'm talking about figuring out his favorites spots on all 3 levels and finding ways to get himself open at those areas.

It's going to take more strategic effort, IQ and his best asset, speed.

I think Green is continuing to get better. Still want to see more of him initiating pick and roll. He seems to make some nice passes but we rarely convert. I also just dont think KPJ is the pg of the future nor a good fit with Green.

How’d that work out last game? Schroeder is not better than KPJ! He’s just the latest excuse for KPJ haters to say he is the problem. Jaylen was playing much better whoever is playing PG.

Agree with all this, but still think that needs to be emphasized by the coach. He is doing what he is told.

I honestly would like to see significant minutes of KPJ and Schroder together sans Green.

    Just for shets and giggles.
