i think he's a joke... way to wrapped up in his own megalomania.... I would pay money to have someone else take control of the Rockets organization...
If we're comparing him to previous Rockets owners he's most likely the worst. If we're comparing him to his current counterparts I still think Dolan, Ranadive, and probably Leonsis are worse. I guess he's still craptacular any way you slice it.
he's been nothing short of terrible. THAT BEING SAID the last year it seems like it's trending in the right direction.. albiet we starting from literally the bottom.
After he hired Gerald Green I said I wouldn't say anything negative about Tillman. I give him 5 Frititta Muffins I'm not saying out 5 or possible 10
Pointless thread and we all know it. Everything bad will get blamed on him, even though we all know the team is in a rebuild for the next couple of years. He made big moves which were foolish in the last few years trying to put his stamp on things. It backfired obviously. The narrative is he's a terrible owner. To be honest I do think people are grasping at straws to an extent looking for any reason to crap on him currently based on actions that are over and done with. Yes we know he pushed for moves that were bad, but at the same time he's kept his mouth shut and let others do their job more recently. I don't get the value in crapping on the owner just to crap on them when they haven't done anything new to warrant the "HE'S THE WORST!" Two points: Philadelphia hasn't won anything yet. The other point: Sarver was THE WORST until he wasn't. I suspect the same would happen once Houston starts competing again. In the meantime, are we going to expend energy stuck in the past blaming ownership just to mire in pity? That doesn't seem very productive. Feel free to lob pointless comments that I'm a Fertitta Stan or whatever is the term du jour. Like many current Suns fans I suspect, I don't care who the owner is, I just want to see a consistent winning product. And I see the groundwork being laid for that currently. Do I expect overnight success? No, but I'm willing to be patient 2-3 years before wasting a moment's thought on **** TIL MAN.
What decision of his can be called a good one? Plenty I can decisively call bad, With every game I watch the Suns win knowing that should be us while Wall is in a suit....yes it is perpetual salt in the wound. Just below the absolute worst tier as an owner, and that's only because his track record is shorter. Pound for pound his tenure has been historically bad considering how quickly he tanked a championship team. And he's done absolutely nothing positive to dig out of that rep yet. A coach that sucks and a GM that has been mediocre, and that may be generous.
Love me a good eggy frittata for breakfast/brunch. Heartily approve. Definitely wouldn't share my breakfast fritatta with Tilman Fertita. That guy's a putz.
I don’t like that he was trading first round picks to get salary off the payroll I don’t like that he’s installed his son into GM operations I don’t like that he pushed through Chris Paul and picks for Russ, effectively breaking up that Western Conference Finals team. I don’t like that I can’t bet on the rockets when I go to the Golden Nugget But I’m waiting for him to redeem himself. He can do that by hiring competent people and letting them do their job, and by paying the luxury tax when we are contenders again. We’ll see if Stone and Silas can show measurable improvement in year 3.
