I don’t think there is salary cap room to do it even if we get rid of Wood, but I could be wrong. Maybe a sign and trade with Wall’s expiring included, but you would have to give up a bunch of draft picks.

Nah, I know exactly who Pig Miller is. One of my all time faves.

I know for me, Oliver Miller’s name usually comes up when you’re talking about someone who’s weight just got out of control. I usually think for a second that he was here, then I’ll remember “no, we had our own guy.”

That guy was Thomas “Two Sandwiches” Hamilton.

    Yup.

Short... doesn't defend or rebound as a post player.

Mediocre rebounder and doesn't block shots.....

Over weight with a body that will easily add weight and a questionable work ethic.... and he cannot shoot.

Yeah he is an amazingly strong and athletic man that can score inside as well as anyone in the league..... but there are limits.

When he was labeled as a generational talent I grimaced.

I’d take Zion .... depending on the price .

can we do wood and nothing else ? Zion isn’t making that much yet , is he ?

    Dennis !?

    haha , jk jk I know he’s expiring .

id even use a late first .

    he’s had what .. 20 good nba games ?

still has big upside . Do we have to give him a big , long contract ?

He can lose 20 lbs and still be BIG .

If we think we turned around and helped kpj mature , Zion presents a similar opportunity. However , kpj was basically free .

Higher risk in acquiring Zion . I’m not sure the max potential is that much more ...

Depends on price . But I’m not sure where else is a good fit for him .. and NOP prolly wants a change in scenery for him . But he was just a number 1 a short time ago , they will want good value .

I guess the comparison was about the only rookies.

But I get your point. These one-game stats mean very little. In fact, even full rookie season stats might not mean much. There are players who looked really good as a rookie but never really amounted to anything close to a great player. The flip side is also true. There are players who didn't look impressive as a rookie but turned out to be great players.

Zion is averaging 26 ppg in just 32 minutes on 60% shooting for his career

when on the court, he is an absolute beast despite his flaws

too bad he can’t stay on the court, and I doubt he ever will on a consistent basis

all the Pelican cheerleaders are jealous of his thiccness, he looks like he keeps every all u can eat buffet in business

The only time I remember Schroder looking centerpiece worthy was that OKC series where Paul and Schroder took Harden and Westbrick to the brink of 7 games.

Man I hated watching Paul carve up the bougie bois freshly after Tilman traded and dissed him.

I would tbh…he’s not that guy and he won’t attract other stars to Houston

he’s in that 15-20 range as a player at best

Pretty good but too undersized......I read 6'1 SG?

    Spida.

The SG position is so not worth it.

I’m still trying to get over that it looks like we blew the draft. The more I watch guys like Mobley, Kaminga, Giddy, etc…it makes me sick.

We're past the point of it looking like we blew the draft, we done blew it. We're on budget level scouting to go with every other aspect of the team.

Every time this thread gets bumped, for some reason I read it as: Rox have been searching for a ‘franchise-worthy center player’ and I click expecting to open a thread discussing that we need to move off Wood b/c he aint that guy.
