This was a big game for AL-P because he held his own against one of the better centers in the game. Should be a confidence booster.
People will get caught up in the moment with Sengun......but we need to see more of this in a consistent way
Would love to see us just sit Christian Wood for the remainder of the season. Not that it's gonna happen but he's literally a basketball albatross--drags the pace down, me-first attitude...I liked him for about 15 games until he sprained his ankle in 2021, and it's been all downhill since then. I think KPJ deserves a chance to play without Wood as well, I think the floor would open up for him a lot.
EG shot 24 shots.. gawd damn. man.. EG playing like there is a playoffs on the horizon.. give the ball up.
Still seeing +5 on nba.com. I do see he is -3.7 for the season. Edit: I see the -5 now. And both Green and Sengun were +11.
lol he has been getting plenty of minutes to get going. Only once this month has he played under 21 minutes. In fact he has played 25+ minutes in 5 of the 7 games this month. He is getting plenty to produce
Naw. I dont want KPJ as the PG. I was coming around to him being the PG with his good play the last couple games, but I forgot what passable PG play looked like. Bring up Nix.
nah we’d have won tonight if we got anything for wood and still had theis at back up . remember , we are trying to lose !
This is the type of losses you're okay with, Green and Sengun were two clear standouts today on both ends of the court. That being said: Gordon should not be taking 24 shots, he has more shots than Sengun and Green combined. In the long run, we definitely don't want Schroder and Gordon taking a combined 40 shots. Schroder played well overall so I guess it's more acceptable. The FO really should have traded Gordon and Wood, even if the return isn't optimal. Games like these show you why it's so important to let the young guys have it.
Fair point, Nix has been tearing it up down there. I'd love to see him get some minutes (WITHOUT BEING FORCED TO DEFER PG DUTIES TO WOOD) Honestly the Rockets have a lot of great young pieces, but they need more opportunities to showcase their skills.
