He needs to be the main ball handler. He gets stuff done.

That's not enough for people here, they want him averaging 30 points his rookie year or he's a bust.

I was at the Knicks game last night and watched Giddey light up the Garden. All I could think of while watching him was "Jalen hasn't had a single game in his career where he was given free reign of the offense the way Josh has tonight."

I will say his jumper is looking a lot better, and he seems to be repeating the shot. I have not watched a game in forever, maybe I will start turning back in.

Nice strawman, but the real standards are so, so much lower and still aren't met.

I think most of us would settle for him not being dead last on this list.

or maybe not being such a terrible outlier on this graph

While there are some possible negatives to this slowing his development. I think it could be good in the long run -- forcing him to also develop off ball offensive skils and on defense, so that can fit in with other good players and scorers.

For the Rockets to get back into contention will need more than just Green becoming an elite offensive player, and the Harden model of insane usage is very rarely a viable solution for any player.

According to Raptor Ranking, Frad Vanfleet is the 2nd best player in the NBA. When we get real coaches to teach this team offense / defense, I'll judge him after year 3.

Right now they use him as a spot up shooter like PJ Tucker.

Nobody is asking for Harden level of usage. Maybe we can take baby steps such as...I don't know... a simple Green/Sengun pick and roll.

When scoring 13 points 1 reb 2 assists in a 34 point loss is considered a decent game, you know the standards for this #2 pick has plummeted. Especially when other 19 year olds are posting 28 points in back to back triple double, or 18th picks are scoring 30.

Green’s %s have indeed ticked up the last 4 games, I want to be hopeful that he keeps it up, but when fanboys start puffing their chests and posting gifs on a 13 point night it really reflects on how pathetic he’s been. Like, “Look ma, he didn’t shoot 20% this game!”

    i thought so too

he is passive , but that is ok .. he has seen what he does that doesnt work and is trying to find other ways to score and do positive things .

    his body isnt ready yet.

I start judging next year if it doesnt look like hes improved

and i start worrying hte year after that if it is the same case .

we havent had a #2 in a while, but its ok if guys you take are raw.

to me his game is a bit like demar derozan and trae young , but he doesnt want to dominate yet. Thats ok .

Im seeing a bit more consistent flashes and it does look like his altheticism is holding up
