On a brighter note, Nix was just given a 4-year contract

Is that doubling down on the youth?

Hey hey if we play the young guys too much this year they might get too much better over the offseason

that would ruin our plans to tank for a third year

    / throw up

We need to keep complaining, the Rockets and the Fertitta family may send out Stone out to the press again to explain themselves. We know these fools read Clutchfans. Not sure why they want us to spend money on their product if they are going to subject to EG and Schroeder playing over the young guys.

He was given that contract, but he won't get to play at the NBA level due to Stone's miserable failure at the trade deadline.

He needed to dump Gordon and Wood and not take back any veteran guards.

Instead, he kept both of them and picked up a veteran scrub guard with a reputation of selfishness and being a locker room cancer.

I get making the trade in order to dump Theis, a pathetic failure of an offseason move by Stone, but why wouldn't they just buy out Schroder?

No other organization in the league in our situation would still be bringing Sengun off the bench for 16 minutes a game after what he showed earlier in the year. You don’t want to play two bigs together because you don’t think it will work? Meanwhile your genius one big lineup is losing by 20+ on a nightly basis. Get this turd coach and turd gm and turd owner out of Houston.

I actually appreciated this play from Wood because it reminded me that it was time to turn the game off and go to bed. :(

    Says Schroeder to Christopher:

“I drink your milkshake!” “I drink it up”

Unwatchable. We are ok with losing with a plan.

Losing without one it's just a stupid waste of our time. Apologies for the bad energy, but I feel angry at these negligence. Not even thinking in us that are here in the downtimes.

At this point, it's hard to understand why Wood and Gordon continue to see minutes on the team. We are in the final stages of a lost season and we continue to see players who are only concerned about their statistics and who are not in the future plans of the team. Why? If the idea was for some veteran to serve as a mentor for the guys, that player should have been Wall, not Wood or Gordon. Wood is a selfish player, he doesn't play for the team and he doesn't serve as a mentor for our young players, worse... he has disputes with them. Every day I am more convinced that the first change of the offseason must be Silas.

The team should target actual professional veterans who know what they are coming in to do with the young players. Not guys who are out to put up some stats until they get moved to a real team.

Veterans like Schroder and Wood under a soft coach like Silas is a recipe for bad everything. Throw in head case Porter....it's a mess.

According to Stone they are playing Schroeder and Gordon to help with the development of the young guys. Maybe it's a bad plan, or maybe he's lying, but that reasoning makes the most sense for the decision.

I'm not too worried as I think too many rookies are counterproductive. I would like to Sengun and JC to get more minutes.

I'm sure we will try and trade Wood and EG during the offseason

I agree about Christopher, Sengun - not a chance, he was getting DESTROYED by their bigs......he is going to be a good solid NBA player, but his lack of athleticism was on full display last night.

He needs a solid 3 ball before he starts.

Yeah, true, VSpan deserved a shot because Rafer sucked, if Green didn't have anyone ahead of him that was clearly the better choice it would be the same.

I do think he should not be playing Schroeder but that is a PG issue and Nix should be in that spot.
