Daniel Theis traded to the Boston Celtics for Dennis Schroder

I think next offseason Wall will be bought out similar to Kemba. Where he’ll buyout the difference of his next contract.
If a team offers Wall the MLe, he’ll let Houston buy him out for the value less of The MLE, that way he’s still getting his money and Houston is still saving about 8 million. Win win for both. I believe that’s how Kemba got to the Knicks

What incentive is there for the Rockets to pay Wall $90+ million
last season just to have Wall go to another team and get paid
an additional $2-$10 million per year by the new team?

All that Wall money would still be on the Rockets books.
Wall thought some team still sees him as good and would
bang down the Rockets doors to get him for a playoff
run.

Just as crazy as those media members that are
fantasizing about Wall going to Miami, Lakers, Clippers,
Knicks after Tilman buys him out over a year ago.
Our Tilman was just going to give away $90+ million
dollars a year ago so that Wall can play elsewhere. Laughable.

Theis is at his best setting all types of screens, but we just didn't/couldn't space the floor enough to make it work here.

We will still suck with Schroder while Theis will look like a serviceable big man again.

I don’t know if any of you guys notice since the acquisition of Dennis Schroeder, rookie Jalen Green started emerging and his confidence in himself and his game started to rise and elevate with the veteran leadership of Schroeder coming to the Rockets. Not a surprise Silas wants to bring him back to coach the young guys.

 

So, he will replace John Wall in the assistant coach role, right?
