Allen is an all star already. Lol

Stone is a joke. Rockets thought Allen is not a good backup for soft Wood so they gave up him. Lmao.

Trading away a 23 year old All-Star for a salary dump and a late first LMAO. This is your Houston Rockets until the Fertittas sell the team.

    One thousand years of darkness.

I'm giving Stone one last chance on draft day before I **** on him daily. He better get 2 good draft picks minimum.

Tilman was never going to pay Allen in RFA.

But but but.. if we dont trade Allen and others to cleveland, then KPJ locker wont me moved.. and we wouldnt have got him..

In seriousness, in hindsight it looks like a miss by stone. But i was on the band (and proven wrong) that thought we should not overpay 20mil for Allen, let alone expecting him to be an allstar so soon. So kudos to him

    Exactly.
I prefer 100 times Allen at 20M (with a big thade value) that Nwada and Theis for 15M (negative trade value)

We keep soft Wood and trade away all star Allen.

    Just horrible.

Which team that has 3 or 4 first round picks that can be traded is going to do that for Jarrett Allen?

It's basically the Rockets and the Thunder, maybe Orlando? - therefore it's the Magic or Thunder - do you think either of them are wishing for a handful of extra wins right now?

We don't need a defensive all-star in Jarrett Allen, we already have a max player in Christian Wood at home! - Rafael Stone

Jarrett Allen us worst stats than Clint Capela did in 2018-2019. And is a similar (slightly better) defender.

    Meh.

I’m going to complain about passing on him basically zero.

The only folks complaining wanted to retool instead of rebuild.

Which turned out to be the right move, unless you think Simmons is a good rebuilding player.

    This.

So now in this alternate reality we are going to resign Allen for $20 mil/ year then flip him for 3 to 4 picks......

In mediocrity and without any cap space.

Sometimes a full rebuild is in order.

Not bringing back Allen because we already had Wood was maybe the dumbest move Stone has made as GM. That guy would have fit perfectly on this rebuilding team, and would make KPJ & Green SOOOOOOO much better. We'll see what happens with the Brooklyn picks but as time goes on the Harden trade looks worse and worse. I think that's why Stone is seemingly changing course to try and just accumulate cheap role players and tread water instead of having the confidence to build through the draft.

I think this GM is broken, and has lost whatever vision he thought he had two years ago. It's time to bring in an adult who has the balls to right this ship and have some sort of vision.
