yup. folks act like EG is some rare get and that they're going to be able to fetch plenty of value as time goes by. Nope, it doesn't work that way. every year a new batch of players come in and other guys get more experience who are younger and can provide just as much if not more than EG who isn't some diamond

No one on this Rockets roster should be untouchable.

You see 2 open spots, I see 15.

If you can bundle picks and/or players to upgrade, you do it, without hesitation.

Whether via draft, FA or trade.

EG is having fun. He doesn't need some figurative trophy to boost his ego like most millionaire athletes

Wood, Porter and Schroeder is a ball of bad juju..... I guess Porter can hit the women and Schroeder can stomp the men while Wood watches.

Seriously, the cultural identity of the Rockets is really non existent right now.... there is no real solid direction either.

    Wow
They didn’t want a first round pick for Gordon?

Were they asking for Ja Morant ?

I don't understand. If OKC has four first round picks in this draft and are probably going to trade at least some of them, doesn't that hurt the ability to trade up? I don't see anyone in the top 15 that would be willing to trade down for an extra pick. Portland, San Antonio, and Atlanta already have two each and Memphis has three. Maybe NY or Washington? I highly doubt it

I still would have taken the late 1st round pick for EGo. I don't mind having a surplus of young players, but I don't think it's major incompetence on the front office's part to kick trading EGo down the road either. Six rookies in two years is plenty and EGo has the short-term benefit of being a player/mentor our young guards.

You keep bringing that up about Porter - what did he do exactly? What were the circumstances...is this like an Iverson thing?

Never mind, read about it, he was never charged.

Not when there is a real chance that the pick the Rockets trade up for will be from OKC.

EG is a depreciating asset with a history of injuries and soon will be on an expiring contract. He has a genuine chance of being injured based on his history and would have negative value at that point.

This was the chance the Rockets had to maximize Gordon's value and they didn't do it.... they screwed it up and in typical fashion for this ownership group and front office, they do anything to deflect blame. Now the claim is they kept Gordon because he wanted to stay.... which is really irelevant but I guess they had nothing else to use as an excuse.

I am eagerly awaiting the Kelly Iko fluff piece explaining how Gordon WANTED to stay and is a great influence and how important that is for the young guys..... while they at the same time add a POS like Denis Schroeder to poor team guys like Porter and Wood.

Ultimately the problem with this franchise appears to be a lack of accountability and a lack of real direction or focus. The team lacks any real cultural identity as well.

Dude so insecure that he's got multiple shirts saying he's the Rockets boss.

Stone is more interested in self aggrandizement than championships.

    Pathetic.

Stone is even dumber than I thought.

    And that's saying something.
