Clippers - getting 1st Rd and 2nd Rd pick
Bobcats - getting 2nd overall pick, Predrag Drobnjak

    Heard on ESPN news.

Damn, lots of good stuff today.

Takes care of the TMAC to Clippers - not that it was likely he would resign with them anyhow. Seems it's all falling into place.

moving down from the top 2 after a supposed steep drop off after the first 2 players ...

    for a 2nd rounder?

Unless there's some other handshake deal involved, stupid trade by the clipps.

What number of pick is the second rounder? I suspect that it is very near a first round pick, without the financial obligations thereof.

VERY DUMB trade by the Clips, I'd say. Maybe they know they can get (and want) Shaun Livingston at 4, but the top 2 picks is where this draft is at and they just moved down 2 critical spots for a second rounder basically.

And the T-Mac competition gets thinner...

Looks more to either the Rockets or Suns might win the McGrady sweepstakes.

I thought that the Hawks were going to do something to get the No.2 overall pick. I guess that the Clippers are going to take Livingston with No. 4 overall pick then. So it looks like that the top four picks are gonna be like this:

    1. Orlando Okafor
    2. Charlotte Howard
    3. Chicago Deng
    4. L.A. Clip. Livingston

Who are the Cats going to take for the Clips? Must be some other deal.

I can only see this if the Clips want to get a guy locked up with a contract to play with Brand and Maggs. Don't know who that would be !?! Deal makes no sense right now.

I can't believe this!! The Clipps are giving up the 2nd pick AND the Drobber for the 4th pick? For those of you who don't know, Air Drobnjak may have been the best center in the state of California next year. (With Shaq traded, Divac retiring and Dampier opting out and signing elsewhere). P-Drob is sorely missed by all Seattle fans here, truly the best center to play for the Sonics since the McIlvaine era...

Charlotte owns the 4th pick in the 2nd round. I think the Clips already know who they want. Charlotte gets their guy in Howard.

It seems the Clips could have gotten more talent wise in the deal. But financially, I am sure LA will save in contract situations from picking #4 instead of #2. Plus the Clips (with only a first round pick) get a high 2nd rounder w/out a guaranteed contract to fill a slot on the roster. While the draft is not considered loaded with talent, a marginal first rounder could slip (Delonte West, Harrison, Andre Emmett, Duhon

Drobnjak was already on the expansion draft list, so maybe the Bobcats liked Predrag and another current Clip (Barnes, Dooling, Eddie House, and Josh Moore?).

Since this deal was annouced so early, I see it as a preview for another deal with these teams for expansion draft or NBA draft.

The Clippers now have enough cap space to go after Kobe! They don't have to get rid of major players to get Kobe!

Aside from having the best website in the NBA, Drobnjack is a very underrated high post center.

No Dwight Howard for Atlanta! Must suck to be a Hawks fan...

... Not that that's anything new.
