They took him to get rid of the contract for Theis..... the one that Stone never should have signed. There is a pattern starting to emerge here.... lets hope it doesn't keep happening.
I don't know how you can have a front office where Patrick Fertitta plays a significant role and hope to compete. It's rough.
I don’t even care about the return for Gordon…I’m more upset that he’s still here taking minutes from younger players. I’m glad Theis was moved. Maybe Garuba can take his place in the bench.
Pretty meh trade deadline for the Rockets. We got more flexible for the 2022 season and beyond. I doubt EG plays again for the rest of the 30 games.
You can say that about any team that didn't get deals done. Face facts, if the best Stone could do at this deadline was to fix his screwup then this was a failure. How did I know you would go from the getting Schroeder's expiring was a good deal, to all fans expect a superstar in deals, to after I pointed out most fans weren't expecting those type of players in trades, just young guys with potential and you comeback with you dont know what deals were out there to be made. Well no bleeping bleep. Fact is there's still a 34 yr old injury prone guard who is having a career yr and Stone still couldn't move him. That's a failure no matter how you look at it. I wish Luhnow/Morey were still in H-Town, atleast we knew there were competent people running their orgs. Now it's sit back and hope for the best in the draft time.
It seems to me that Rox wanted Fernando in the trade and like him better than Brooks. Money-wise Theis for Schroeder/Kanter works fine, (I think) there was no need for Fernando
well at least the bar is set for next year's deadline. it was hard to top last year's but here we are.
Morey managed to pick up harden for the 76ers for disgruntled simmons. Too bad he is not still pulling off such deals for us.
I want EG and wood to be sitting out rest of the year no reason they should play, all the tanking teams around us got worse.
Stone just cleaning up his mistakes. He drafts the same way. Rockets just got lucky with Sengun and Jaygup. If he keeps ignoring his analytics team, things will not change. And up until today, not enough noise to hold him accountable.
