The failures at the trade deadline is just the straw to break the camels back, it’s time to bring up the real issues. Green over Mobley has set the franchise back 10 years. GET RID OF THIS CLOWN. Dude is a lawyer he knows nothing about basketball
HOW FCKING INCOMPETENT CAN THIS ORGANIZATION BE?? All of Tilmans mistakes are compounding on one another. First being RWB trade. Second letting Morey go. Now we have stone and Patrick making decisions? ARE WE THE NEW KINGS?
I hope this is in jest. For ****'s sake, over-reactionary. No moves are better than bad moves. Good lord. Seems like people expect everything overnight.
Very much not over reactionary, there is no reason at all to have this many vets on a rebuilding bottom 3 team. Not when they have value and not injured.
“No moves are better than bad moves.” Whose Twitter did the water-carriers get this talking point from? Inaction is action, dummy.
I switched to Michelins Premiers for A/S touring tires and I must say, they are awesome. Long treadlife and warranty, too. Highly-recommended.
The reality is, you hit on the #2 pick, you get rope. You miss on the #2 pick, you don’t get rope. We are all out of rope.
What do you mean "everything overnight"? The trade deadline was today, and it's gone. Nobody is expecting some blockbuster trade that catapults the rockets into contention. All that was expected was to extract value from quickly depreciating assets. These are aging players with ticking contracts, their value is only going to get lower as time goes on, until they eventually can leave in free agency and their value is 0. The longer you have "no moves" the less value they have.
I absolutely think Tillman is going to start getting a lot of calls around the business with very enticing proposals to do a much better job. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s out sooner than we think.
To somehow come away with not only Eric Gordon and Christian Wood still being part of this team, but Dennis Schroeder now being here as well!?!? Yeah, this mother****er needs to be axed. He's clearly up his own ass in terms of his confidence to evaluate the market, and it's costing us the opportunity to expedite this rebuild. As it stands, he just watched his main lifeline (the Nets picks) get devalued by probably 30-50% today. Now he's not even going to hedge that with a Gordon or Wood move?? Inexcusable.
Jalen over Mobley is a legit gripe. The rest of this is just whining and ignores the good moves Stone has made.
Doing nothing to aquire more draft capital during a hard rebuild is grounds for termination. Missing on draft picks happens, even the best GM's can whiff (Udoh to GSW between Curry and Thompson, Okafor to Philly, Parker over Embiid, The Suns in general), but you can recover from that. You can't recover from standing pat and doing nothing at the deadline TWICE. Thad Young got turned into a first and you couldn't do the same for Gordon?
perhaps he values continuity more than pie in the sky picks which never amounuts to anything... continuity is UNDERRATED
It was refreshing seeing what a true GM could do today. Meanwhile Stone trades his key offseason acquisition half a season into his 4 year contract. And has to take back salary to do so. I honestly take pleasure in knowing how furious little Tilman would've been hearing the news today that a couple of the F Tillman Club are getting the band back together.
We don’t know what offers were there. Our FO landed Sengun and JC in the second half of this draft. Even if we passed on trading Gordon with a full year left on his deal for a pick in the 25-30 range to see if they can do better later because they think that part of this draft sucks this year I’m going to give them some benefit of the doubt.
