Somewhere Russell Westbrook is listening to music and eating some cookies saying "See? Told you I wasn't the problem!"

I don’t know what the Lakers seriously think they’re going to acquire with that 2027 pick in the off-season.

Might as well get yourself a legend like John Wall on your team.

Honestly, Wall’s contract is not that bad at this instant. 30 games from being an expiring contract. Less than 1.5 seasons on his deal.

He would be much better than Westbrook for that particular team, but they are too dumb to see it.

Wall, if he could get a bit better than he was for us last season, would hit 5-10% more of his open 3’s than Westbrook easily. Can keep the pace almost as high. He has never played with two players who draw so much attention, it’s likely to have a good effect on his game. That’s a game swinging change. There's at least a chance it will work.

Westbrook has been tried in every setting, like Simmons it won't work for teams trying to win in the playoffs in the way they're trying it.

Even if we have to attach two second rounders, I hope we get our hands on that 2027 pick largely unprotected. They're never going to have a bottom 3 record anyway imo. Too easy to sign good free agents.

Just read this quote in NY Post
["Westbrook’s shooting numbers have plummeted this season for the Lakers. He’s currently shooting 43.7 percent from the field and 30 percent from deep."]

Thats actually his career averages not a dip lol. He just makes its all painful.

LMAO that only MDA had a clue on how to make Russ less of a liability.

One of his most efficient seasons was with Rockets.

Honestly a healthy Wall makes the Lakers a WHOLE lot better.....than they are now...much faster with the ball and passes, much more team oriented.

I think it makes the Lakers a contender NOW ....

People forget how good the Rockets were after the Harden trade when Wall, Oladipo, and Wood were all three healthy... for a couple games of course. Wood going down really killed the team because the offense last year revolved around Wood sucking in the Defense as the roller/finisher. He just doesn't want to be that guy anymore this year and instead thinks he's Kevin Durant.

But you put a healthy Wall, Lebron, and AD on the court I think that team be much much better than what Westbrook makes them have to become (see what he did to the Capela/Harden/shooters P&R offensive juggernaut). Hell I think even simply cutting Westbrook, going back to a Lebron/AD P&R centric offense and signing vet shooters after they get bought out makes that team a legit team.

So John Wall or not, the answer for the Lakers is simple.... you have to at the very least waive Westbrook, and try like hell to find vet min shooters after buyouts, and put Lebron, and AD in pick and rolls.

Technically he could be ready this summer when he can opt out of his contract. Why take on Westbrook?
After what westbrook did to houston making a trade for him, Lakers better pay up for this. Nunn, THT, 1st pick etc... I dont see why rockets would do it at all tbh.
