Joe Rogan is someone that has some admirable traits… he works very very hard, he believes in himself and what he does and he is an over achiever.

While all of these traits are inspiring, he isn’t an expert on anything in the field of science or medicine or sociological fields. He is a 55+ year old white man that didn’t graduate college or do any doctoral internships … he is an entertainer that can be a very gracious talker and a good listener, which makes him a good podcast host and appealing to machismo males.

Both sides are giving him too much power and credit. He will admit he isn’t an expert and he is an idiot, with just enough knowledge to be dangerous.

He isn’t a journalist or 60 Minutes, he doesn’t directly confront his guests and he can be influenced.

As far as the controversy over his racist statements, he is a 55+ year old white man, color me not surprised over the last 35 years he said some ignorant statements and slurs. He needs to be held answerable for what he said and ultimately public opinion will decide his fate.

All of this attention is just making his popularity increase.
