You guys should of just let him believe what he said. Now his productivity will be shot another full day.
Why wouldn't Brooklyn take that deal? Is Harden alone even better than those 3 next to KD and Kyrie for a playoff run? Plus they are all locked in for next season as well 2 elite defenders 1 elite shooter 1 near-elite playmaker How does grouchy Harden outweigh all of that if he's pouting the rest of the year, and potentially walking away for nothing in 4 months anyway? Aldridge / Claxton Durant / Griffin Simmons / Harris Curry / Thybulle Irving / Mills If I'm the Bucks, that lineup is much more worrisome in a series
When was the last time a player turned down $70ish million. I don’t see it happening most likely. You never know though.
it really bothers me that Pat Fertitta is so involved at the GM level. The guy has no experience to be involved in player-personnel decisions. I get that his father owns the team, but I really hate this dynamic. It’s the kind of thing that happens in bad organizations.
Give me PJW, Kai and Thor. Would need to include Ish salary as well and Rockets would have to make separate trades for Augustin & Nwaba for SRP, or cut them outright. HORNETS: Wood, Armoni ROCKETS: PJ, Kai, JT, Ish No FRP?
I see a late 2022 FRP as very low value. I expect this draft to be weak after about 15 picks. Maybe it is 20 picks deep. I don't think a late 2022 FRP will have much use for trade up. Sure, someone good is likely selected after picks 15-20, but it will likely be more luck than skill. Adding Nix and 3 FRPs is going to require 4 people getting cut/traded. Gordon's stock can only plummet if there was value there to begin with. I don't see a late 2022 FRP advancing the Rockets towards trading up, and I'd rather just have Gordon if his market value is only a late 2022 FRP as I value him as an expiring more than the late 2022 FRP. I think he should be able to fetch a future pick even if lottery protected. I would not help a team a lot for what I perceive to be a very small value. Edit: I could be wrong about whether a late 2022 FRP will be useful in a trade up. If it looks useful to Stone for a trade up, I'm all for it. I'd solely be focused on acquiring a pick that can be used to trade up this year or in the future and not give in for less than that.
True If he's not serious about moving on, is all this noise just Harden leveraging the Nets to move Kyrie by the deadline? He did force the Rockets to do the same when he tired of CP3's chirping ... What could Kyrie even bring back, and who would want him ..? Russ was a disaster the last time around and they clashed, so that's not happening Kyrie to HOU for Wall ?!?!?!??!?! That's it!! No vaccination restrictions down here in Tejas!!
I’m convinced had he not been involved Mobley would have been the pick. Stone has been more of analytical type of guy.
