    Agreed.

But still 2nd best player tonight.

That's even with Sengun playing 28 mins.

    Crazy right?

we have this lob to Green or KMJ a lot, and none of the players outside or maybe DJ can make that pass

KPJ had a good game, but 7 turnovers is far too many.

    For sure.

But Scoot was clearly THE player that kept Rockets in the game.

Put up 27 with 7 treys.

I think we pretty much know what this team is by now.

Wood is a decent stretch 4/5 in this league, but on this team he is far too ball dominant. We run the offense through him too much, and he falls in love with contested threes too often. More importantly, he cuts down touches that other players need.

Sengun, Wood, and Tate at the same time on the floor is just too many non shooters. Wood cannot consistently stroke a 3, and teams are comfortable daring Tate and Sengun to shoot threes. Tonight Green beat his man more than once and instead of meeting just one guy in the middle, he had three sitting there so he passed it out, which is the right play, but unfortunately to guys who can't knock down shots.

KPJ is best as an aggressive scorer. He just is not good at hitting guys in stride, and so many of his passes hit defenders in the feet. At this point, I'm ready to say the PG experiment is over and he needs to be shifted over to the SF position with either Tate or Wood coming off the bench. Tate and Wood also bring the ball up far too often for my liking. It's one thing when they're on a fast break or playing off a steal and another if they're getting it off of inbounds and motioning away KPJ, Jaygup, and Green.

The single most important thing for the rest of this season is getting young guys minutes and shots. None more important than Green. We need to call up Nix and see what he can do. I'm glad to see Sengun getting more PT, and he's got to learn to make quicker decisions when he gets the ball.

Anyways, I'm really hoping we're able to move Wood before the deadline and get a good offer for him.

They can pretty much sag off our whole squad and be ok.

I thought JC had a bad game tonight and showed why he is not a PG, but I’m still high on him. I think the league is catching up to Tate. I don’t think he is really a core player we need to hang on to. If throwing him in as a sweetener to make a difference making trade (either a lottery pick or good young PF), I would do it. If we are really going to play Wood and Sengun together, I’d really like to see Matthews starting in Tate’s place. We could then see if that would improve our spacing and give KPJ and Green more lanes and kick-out opportunities.

    Yep.

    All 3 shoot better than 36% 3P.

Including EGo (42%), who didnt play tonight.

These 4 are Rockets best snipers.

Can we just structure KPJ's contract making it 99% incentivised, where as he makes zero dollars if he steps inside the 3 point line?

My god his IQ with the ball drops to zero the second he takes a step in from the arc.

Rare bad game by the bench. Kenyon Martin Jr. didn’t look right, Mathews was off, Brooks looks lost at this point. His game has been way off. The trade deadline can’t come soon enough. I don’t think any of those guys are going anywhere, but the team seems tense or something. It’s time for some changes.

    lol, yup
watching him coaching is nothing but a kinda torture to me,
    few things being changed or getting improved is UNBELIEVABLE;
if there aint any trade expectations and young prospects' ups and downs (nuances of self-adjustment to their games) got me hooked there,
watching those games could no better than watching paint dry...

nevertheless gotta confess, silli@ss exactly worth every penny ferntits paid, why? -
he does help this team on tanking at a minimum level, you could hardly find another coach feel happy to do this shitty work.
