LOL, dude has no value now. Portland kept that team together too long, the time to trade him was years ago and now they are getting Josh Hart for CJ and what will that be? A protected pick?
A package of Hart and picks is still not enough, salary-wise, to acquire CJ. I wonder if Jaxson Hayes and Devontae Graham are going to be included and, if so, Stone should at least make a call to see what it would take to get Hayes.
CJ should help the Pelicans CJ, Ingram, and Zion isn’t a bad trio…too bad Zion is busy eating the whole menu plus the menu itself
How is Damian "Didn't Run From the Grind, I'm Too Loyal" Lillard feeling? Actually I guess he's pretty happy to continue chucking 50 footers, not playing defense, with no playoff pressure, all on a supermax contract. EDIT: Wait, this is the perfect scenario for him to get out of Portland while keeping his image intact. "I tried, but the new GM blew everything up! Guess I have to get traded to Philly for the sake of the Blazers!"
Worst kept secret in the NBA. The Pelicans GM is doing everything possible to save his job. This trade does not help the Pelicans long term at all. The Pelicans are going to be atrocious on defense with no real upside to improve. Ingram, Zion and McCollum is a HORRIBLE trio defensively....... This should really be a warning to the Rockets, you need to take two way players unless the other player is vastly better offensively when you are building a team. Morant isn't great defensively, but he had upside to be a solid defender and not a black hole like Zion. The Rockets are running into the same issue, they have to draft a good defender at the top of this draft. There will be no excuse if Gordon isn't moved at the deadline.
