SSSSHHHHH! We need to keep our interest in McCown under wraps lest another NFL team steals our precious jewel-in-waiting away from us!

That defensive rating was that bad because the **** show the offense was most of the year. Defense was always on the field.

His son just committed to Colorado so maybe he will get a college gig.

I thought you said conclusively that Gannon was the hire?

Only the Texans can turn something like this into such a convoluted mess. It's beyond comical at this point.

Lovie is 63. He would be just another sacrificial lamb. They're 2 years away from a winning record even if they get a QB. In the interim they'll build up McCown - get him experience, good press. I don't know whether they or McCown were uncomfortable with him taking the job now in the wake of the Flores suit, but make no mistake, he's their guy long-term.

LOL! If the Texans actually thought that Lovie would be a good head coach then they would've made him head coach last year. He's not Mr. Right - he's Mr. Right Now.

Lovie a candidate means Texans have been a last resort for all the other names all along and I can’t say I’m the least bit surprised

Do you disagree that both seem like candidates that no one else considered as HC's and that were hired after literally everyone else turned them down?

He's more qualified but the Texans aren't hiring him as a long-term option. He's another "bridge coach" for them like Culley was.

If it's true that McCown got cold feet and turned down the job it would be hilarious.

I swear if we pull this backwards bullshit and hire Lovie ****ing Smith as our HC, just to placate the ****ing masses over this Brian Flores **** I’m going to ****ing lose it. I can convince myself of McClown if they want to go that direction. At least there is potential there. We’re gonna go with another ****ing placeholder? SERIOUSLY?!?

Praying that this is just an Easterby rumor, bc Jack thinks these rumors will make the “process” look legit. Please let this not be legitimate. Backwards ass move of course I should have seen this nonsense coming.

I'm surprised Cal McNair doesn't walk around with earplugs in his ears at all times to prevent whatever brains he has left from leaking out of his head.
