Normal Powell is a very similar player to EG, his contract is similar money, it's longer, but Powell is 5 years younger too.

Then RoCo is still very nice wing depth piece, regardless of his fall from grace with the Blazers, as an expiring hard to think he didn't have the value of a 2nd himself. The big value for the Clips here was what? A recent late 1st who hasn't shown anything on a depleted Clippers roster.

I think this is could be a pretty obvious sign about a buyer's market, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not taking Rafa "young player and a 1st" Stone's media puppetry work for anything.

Seems to be lower picks, trying to move up.

Are these FRP offers in any way less illusionary than the FRP offer that we had for Dipo?

He should sit. Don't want to risk a injury if we have two offers on the table. Sentimentally we may want to give him a send off, but from a business standpoint let's make the prudent decision.

I wonder how NO fans will react to this since they still boo him all the time. Will EG depressed pictures emerge again lol.

I've been asking myself the same question of why NO would be involved in an Eric Gordon trade. Maybe salary experts can explain. Basketball-wise, I'm not sure what the reason for giving up picks is for NO.

In any case, the Cavs and Pacers finished their trade up before they play tonight. Rockets say Gordon has a minor injury and won't play right before their game against the Pelicans today. Maybe they don't want him to get really hurt... or maybe this is all made up... maybe I'm just hopeful...

Who is Matt Moore of Action Network anyway? Is he Woj Lite or BraBra Bro? So many questions to be answered.

Here's one I won't mind seeing (just speaking for myself):

    Sixers:
    + James Harden

    Nets:
    + Ben Simmons
    + Eric Gordon

    Rockets
    + Tyrese Maxey
+ As many draft picks as the other teams are willing to give.

Cap impact for the Rockets according to fanspo.com is -$15.6M for the Rockets.
Maxey this year - 16.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists shooting 47+% from the field and 40+% from 3.

Morey will do this. Just depends on whether the Nets are willing.

I believe it was basically a reference to the blurb on this page about Eric Gordon :

    https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/n...james-harden-ben-simmons-harrison-barnes-2022

The Houston Rockets have told teams they have two different offers of a first-round pick for Eric Gordon. The issue is finding a team that won’t send back significant salary as Houston doesn’t want anything major on the books. Houston is also looking for a pick in the teens instead of a late first-rounder for Gordon.

Where do we stand this morning, after CLE is OUT.

TOR: Perhaps the only 1-for-1 option left (Dragic) after Rubio got taken out. Most other places would require taking multiple players, which would necessitate a roster cut (most likely Augustin waiver).

PHO: lots of noise but it seems hard to me. Saric + Jalen Smith alone doesn’t work. If they include Elfrid Payton, we’ll need to cut two players (Augustine + Brooks ?) just to accommodate players that we won’t use… PHO will, want to include Shamet, but I don’t see ROX agreeing to that. Expanding it to include Wood and Ayton is bold but intriguing.

GSW: Wiseman + Cuminga works, but GSW would be adding significant money in lux tax. Still, I see it as quite plausible.

UTH: They are desperate. Gay + Ingles will be VERY desirable by UTH, I’d imagine. Problem is their picks cupboard is quite bare after the Conley trade, I think. Would ROX eat Gay’s money?

BOS: Horford for Augustine+EG is interesting. Allows ROX to avoid D.J.’s $300K guarantee next season. Gives Celtics two guards, allowing them to trade Schroeder for Al’s replacement. Adding Nesmith makes it even more attractive, since it saves them money. I like Nesmith.

DAL: They are motivated as they may be losing Brunson in the off-season. Powell + Trey Burke. Not sure what they can offer pick-wise

Unfortunately I think he won't fail at trading Gordon but fail at getting a 1st rounder for him.

I’m honestly not a big Norman Powell fan. You don’t go to him in the fourth looking for a big bucket. EG is a more proven 6th man than anybody on the market as of this point. You add him, it gives you a third or fourth scorer. That’s valuable and worth a first/maybe another salary piece (which Stone is kind of against).
