If he is traded by the 10th, neither the Rockets, nor I, bought it. Rockets have been pampering him.....that needs to end Feb 11th if he remains.
I doubt rockets trade wood, porter or green. They probably envision this as there big 3 in few years. It may or may not pan out. It really depends on how much work these players do in there development. Remember the suns first got there big 2-3 players, look at the 18-19 suns. They had 19 wins just like the rockets.
Darn LeVert strikes again. Cavs are no longer shopping for Eric Gordon Pacers trade with Cavs x Rubio, 1st and two 2nds. Should be ours. Hope Rockets have same more or less on the table elsewhere https://nba.nbcsports.com/2022/02/0...liers-for-rubio-first-round-pick-two-seconds/
That seemed to be a good return for LeVert and would be for Gordon, with one caveat. The Rockets, according to multiple people familiar with their thinking, are much more interested in a future pick with less protection than a pick or multiple picks this season. With four first-rounders in the 2021 draft and two more coming this year, a package of 2022 picks would have less value to them than it did for the Pacers or would have had for the Rockets a year ago. That applies to any deal for Wood, who fits the Rockets’ timeline much better than Gordon — especially with Brooklyn’s next pick suddenly much more intriguing. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...g-Harden-situation-with-interest-16836985.php
I doubt much happens. I'd hazard a guess and say most teams hang up the phone in fits of laughter after little Patty Tilman tries to assert himself and pretend he belongs in the same company as them, as if he did anything to deserve it.
Hey! You got give stone some credit. He had a back up plan if he didn’t draft Mobley=Sengun Green=Christopher
I think I’m okay including Tate in a deal as long as it was for something significant. I’ve come to the conclusion that while he’s the heart of the team, its gonna take him more time to develop a consistent 3 pt shot. Seeing as he’s already 26, I ’d rather we focus more on developing 21 yr old KJ Martin who is 2 inches taller and has a higher ceiling. But I wouldn’t trade Tate lightly.
Tate is literally making the minimum the NBA allows to offer a player. I don't know many other contracts in the nba that is as good as his.
In theory, the LeVert deal should be good news for us. It establishes a market value for wings, and Gordon is arguably one of the most attractive wing players left in the trade market that is available at a decent price (i.e., not Simmons, Halliburton, Fox cost), so I think getting a first shouldn't be hard at all. I trust the reports - the challenge will be getting back salary that isn't further out than Gordon's contract, and ideally expiring contracts that gets money off the books at the end of this season. Given those conditions, I think the FO is probably trying to coax Toronto into a deal for Dragic, but Ujiri is probably holding out hope to try and get more for an expiring ~20M and a FRP.
