This is clearly before all the racist clips were exposed. Trevor Noah will certainly retract his support of Rogan. I’m sorry but him using the N-word various times under various contexts is one thing, but comparing a black community to Planet of the Apes and suggesting black and white people have different brain capacities is simply inexcusable.
https://deadline.com/2022/02/spotif...lips-circulated-by-india-arie-1234927245/amp/ He also addressed a bit in the clips wherein he referred to a black neighborhood as “Planet of the Apes,” after going to see the movie with friends in Philadelphia. “I was trying to make the story entertaining,” Rogan said. “I did not, nor did I ever say that black people are apes, but it sure f–king sounded like that.” “It wasn’t a racist story, but it sounded terrible.”
Joe’s response doesn’t help at all. He’s relating black people to apes. He says “it was planet of the apes. No white people anywhere.” Whether he was using it for entertainment value / shock value what have you, it’s a terribly racist joke.
Trevor should have stopped after a couple minutes into his rants. When he carries on, he’s starting to talk out of both sides.
Did he say anything about the Planet of the Apes blast or the Mulatto thing? Trevor better be careful to not get out over his skis. Edit Yes he did, I saw the other video. And you got @tinman still trying to deflect. SMDH.
I notice how these guy never say the K-Word, F-Word, or C-Word So . .. IMO . . .they know what they doing . .. . F**k Em Rocket River
@JayGoogle the Black guy in the middle has been listening to Rogan for 12 years and even remembers the planet of the apes podcast
I have probably listened to more Joe Rogan than anyone on this board. Difference between me and that guy, that guy won't be mean to Rogan because he's hoping to get on Joe's show one day and I'm not. Remember, everyone has biases and agendas. I'm also going to warn Joe's new fans that he's likely going to change his stance on everything he's been preaching about for the past few months because that's joe. If it's not weed legislation his stances are very fluid and it'll change depending on whoever he's talking to.
“comedians got each other’s back” people out here copping pleas and trying to excuse away things like referring to black people as planet of the apes gtfoh
