James Harden's Brooklyn Nets

So how sweet do those picks look now. already imploding and we are 1 year after the trade.

 

Harden isn’t carrying anyone to anything.

He is still a really good player, but even at his absolute best he was still a playoff choker.

Brooklyn hasn’t peeped all of the flaws he has that hinder his team yet. They are about to get a full dose though.

The doing nothing off ball…walking the ball up slow af…terrible perimeter defense…giving up on plays…

The guy is one of the best ever with the ball in his hands. The problem is that when the ball isn’t in his hands he doesn’t bring much else. He doesn’t move well off ball, he’s not setting screens, on defense he’s not some stopper…

So now the issue is, when he has an off game at doing what he does best he doesn’t really help his team win at all.


If you look at the great players that lead their teams to rings, they affect the game in multiple ways.

Once cp3 went down I knew that we were not beating Golden state because Harden is not the guy that is going to lead your team in a big playoff spot.

If Durant comes back healthy they still have a shot. But Durant is going to need to be Durant because he is the only one that can lead them to a ring.

Just yesterday there was a ringer article I posted an excerpt from explaining how even in likely his worst season in a decade he’s still clearly an all star and putting up points/rebounds/assist numbers coupled with a certain scoring efficiency that only he himself and Oscar have managed in league history. I believe it was at least 23/8/10 with 58 TS%. Still a top 5 player in iso efficiency and still top 10 in overall points created.

Not to mention in his shittiest season as a star he still finds himself on this list that has a crazy good track record for identifying the top guys each year.
