As I said all along, Watson used the media to play the bullshit about ownership betrayal and all that crap when he was a weasel all along. He wanted a sexier marker that's it.
That would only add fuel to the fire. In the middle of an epic lawsuit which proves that the NFL has racist hiring policies, Cal comes along and hires a white assistant HS coach.
Yes, if they can prove tampering they can get draft picks I think. I doubt it goes anywhere though, it's way too explosive. More likely a private settlement and the Texans don't raise a stink about it.
Especially because of how it pertains to the Texans and deshaun Watson. He has to be the quarterback they're talking about right?
Supposedly Deshauns Instagram shows him in Miami around the claimed time. I think if found to be true, we should be entitled to some kind of draft compensation, as @treyk3 mentioned
Man this is like watching the Curse of Oak Island. I keep hanging in there hoping there is something special at the end of the day. Only to to find more wasted time. But I keep coming back for more. SMH.
100%. Basically ruined a franchise. I said this at the time, but this is truly unprecedented. There is no example of a team being forced to trade a PRIME, healthy, under contract superstar QB. It's never happened. Examples like Favre were backups that became stars after the deal. This was a first. It was shocking. Now we find out that it was caused (or aided) by the owner of another team encouraging him to do it? Texans would deserve HUGE compensatory picks. Team finally found the single hardest asset to acquire in the NFL and it was snatched away by tampering?
Wow. This is scandalous. What can the NFL do? Ross will have to sell for sure, imo. What to do with Watson? Clearly he got a no trade to force the scenario. What punishment for the dolphins? And what do the Texans receive as compensation? I think they should give us a couple firsts, to be honest. Or whatever is deemed Watson's "market value." Then Watson gets cut and banned.
Well. Ain’t gonna be Flores now! Plus, Watson might be the biggest skumbag douche ever. Please get him the **** out of here already!
I don't agree. That's analysis from a lawyer looking at merits of winning the case in court. You don't sue an organization like the NFL expecting to beat them in the court. You sue to put a lot of dirty laundry into the ether and force a big settlement to avoid a crisis hoping that they will then go shank a lot of of the named people in the suit privately.
Someone on twitter says the QB was not Watson that Ross tampered with. I mentioned earlier that I thought it was Brady. That will remove the Texans link.
Pats going to end up getting a draft pick out of all this when it gets proven that Miami was tampering with Brady haha
