Daughter has been wanted to do something to celebrate Chinese New Year. Any recommendations? She's 6 so has to be a kid thing.

Blast cap firecrackers? Lucky candy? Prob the worst time to eat at a good Chinese restaurant... Chinatown used to do something but that was 30 yrs ago when I watched it in Houston.
In Chinatown, local dance teams would do lion dances accompanied by drummers and firecrackers randomly when I was younger. I havent seen one in a while and dont know if they still do, but Im pretty sure they still do. Edit: https://www.lunarnewyearhouston.com/
Eating dumplings and candy is always a good way to celebrate. Wearing red too so putting in that Rockets championship jersey is culturally appropriate. If they allow it in your city setting off fireworks
