Depends on the demographic. I would start with the museum district and the zoo. Lean into what Houston is famous for: amazing food. Find some local-owned food joints. I’m sure @Roscoe Arbuckle or his bff Jeff could recommend something. If the tourists are land locked, send them to Galveston for seafood, Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens and shopping on The Strand. There’s plenty here to do that isn’t NASA or the water wall.
Houston has a bunch of malls You can go shopping at memorial city mall Where Michael Jackson went shopping once
San Antonio somehow managed to turn a gutter into a tourist attraction. I wonder if that East River development will do something similar for Houston
it got nicer? I haven't been there in 3 years. Want to stay and walk the riverwalk and visit that japanese garden park
I agree but the galleria is more a complex with the setup and atmosphere somewhat unique. Foreigners love it. It's thugged out now but that is another story. Also the water wall is still #1 It's just a matter of what is #2
Id have to agree and say the zoo is very good and I like it better than the san diego zoo. It's as underrated as zoo station
Every time my son comes to town I try to show him something. Orange Show, Beer Can house, NASA, Those iron sculptures right at 288 & 610. But he also got to see an amazing steam train the Bush 41 was on. I also have taken him to this huge patio chair in the heights, MMP for a game, Toyota Center. He loved IFly. But his biggest draw here is the food. He loves going to new places. So Xero is right. That's our largest draw.
