He takes 2% (~7 shot) of his shots from 16ft-3p where he is shooting 61%. He shooting about 40% from 3-16ft where he takes 29% of his shots.

Interesting. Based on the evidence in that video, he is making 100% of his midrange shots.

Thats with NBA's push magnets working against him. Imagine if they enabled pull magnets for Harden, he'd be shooting 120%!

This is why I always hated the dantoni offense. Even if he wasnt shooting 60%, the mid range unlocks the rest of your game. Otherwise defenders just pack the paint and play up on you at the arc. Him dropping that shot almost completely is such a bad habit

This video sums it up in a nutshell for me why the all star selections and all nba selections should be voted on using computer generated results. Take the human element completely out of it.

jrue holiday, Fred van vleet, garland in the all star game over James harden. Wow

what makes this even more egregious is that for years players like klay Thompson were all stars and made all nba simply because of the success from their teams. But the nets who are on top of the East and who have had no kyrie pretty much all year shouldn’t have two players named all stars

the demise of James Harden has been so ridiculously exaggerated…yes, he’s declined and can’t finish at the rim like he used to, but he is still a top 15 player with ease

FVV is having a career year and is a very nice player, but he still can not hold “washed” Harden’s jockstrap

even guys like Jayson Tatum are still not as good as this current version of James Harden

Everyone's so hyped up with the "new" and "up next" that they forget who's already here.

Tatum not being as good as 32 year old Harden is a serious indictment on him. He needs to stop being the next Kobe and start being the first Tatum, because those contested jumpers aren't going in.

Doesnt ben taylor of thinking basketball call stephen curry the best finisher around the rim in league history. Curry is seeing an even bigger drop-off at the rim than even harden

I have no clue what Ben Taylor’s opinions are, but if he thinks that Curry is the best finisher in league history, then that is yet another example of why so many people hate the analytics guys. Best finisher in league history? Really?

Chris Paul only shoots 2% less at the rim for his entire career despite being 3 years older and 3 inches shorter. Hell, CP3 has more win shares AND a higher WS/48 than Curry this year.

Really hope the last month knocked Curry out of the MVP conversation.

you know 3 decent games by curry is all it’ll take to push kd and embiid out in favor of curry in the voters eyes

to them these last 2 months will be seen as a blip in an otherwise other world season and they’ll still vote curry first team all-nba without a second thought

I still think James has the "best player" in the league title in him, he just has to win this year while being the best on the Nets. Which isnt to hard, he just has to be as good as last year.

Turns out a shorter Kobe, Kyrie, would have been almost as nice, while a taller Kobe, Tatum, not so much.

Both ended up massive disappointments for the Celtics at some point in their careers.

while it has in most rankings and amongst most fans, the last odds i saw had him as a +175 favorite with i think the next closest being +350 or +500 for jokic or giannis. so whatever the rankings are saying, apparently vegas doesn't believe them.

39 games without Kyrie, 9 without Durant , 31 without Harris and the nets sit top of the east because of one man. Hell Covid ravaged them with Aldridge missing a few games .When Durant isn’t there Harden takes his game up a few levels. Just look at the numbers

Thanks for sharing. That game was a bit of a throwback. I remember James would call those mid-range jumpers the stepdaddy.
