Parsons had more natural talent. Mathews has more heart and grit. Blue collar. Salt of the earth.

Garry Bird hears you...that doesn't mean he agrees with you.

I think Parsons 3-ball was actually underrated. Ugly flat form but in a 6 year stretch, he hit 37% to 42% except for 1 year. Definitely overvalued himself as a ball-handler creator though. He was getting compared to Gordon Hayward, who actually is what people thought Parsons was.

The league doesn't have to review his shooting - the players need to adjust their defense.

And Gordon Hayward looked like Kobe but without the tan.

Was going to be a star player before his injury.

Parsons on the Rockets had good one on one defense. Mathews is our worst 1 on 1 defender in our rotation then maybe Wood and Brooks. Fortunately Mathews makes up for it by hustling, taking charges and playing the passing lanes.

Parsons actually had an all around game, with a solid handle for a foward and mean pump fake while Mathews is pretty much a spot up and catch and shoot kind or guy. If anything he’s more like Chase Budinger without the athleticism
