It's time to have a serious conversation about Jalen Green's development

Green needs to go back to the G-league or he needs to come off the bench. Right now, he isn’t bringing enough to merit either his starting job or to close the game.

Look, he is not Mobley level, but give the guy some time. He has flashes and that's enough for a rookie not named Lebron or the like. Maybe in a couple of years he will validate our decision to pick him over Mobley.

Absolute garbage game from him and he isn’t contributing much when his shot doesn’t fall. I get the improved defense and offensive clutch rebounds but man what an ugly stat line

If we had given every minute Jalen played to Josh we would have won the game. He's a better defender AND he can shoot and hit a layup.

For Christ's sake what has happened to this kid??

He had a tough tough game, and he has hit that rookie wall.

He needs a lot of work though - only has speed, no hesitation move, no floater, no Euro step, just straight line, he gets blocked at the rim so often.

His dribble is at best average, his defense - while improving - is below average and his BBall IQ - when to move etc....is developing.

He should never have been a number 2 pick - but he was, and now we have to hope he gets busy getting better.

It really is sad how reactive clutchfans is on a game by game basis.

Sad that a #2 draft pick that we easily could've not had in a coin flip has pitted everyone against each other like political America.

True, Jalen is in an absolute ****-eating slump. But his defense looks much better and he's crashing the boards with more aggression.

For god sakes people go hug your kids or build a fire pit and have some ****ing patience please.

I'm glad he's able to experience a bad game like this, this will only make him hungrier!

When Green can't hit the broadside of a barn he's pretty useless with the starters, standing around in the corner and laying bricks is pointless, and KPJ / Wood / Tate don't pass in transition.

On nights like tonight he should play more second unit minutes with Sengun etc where there's more opportunities to freelance and push the pace

He tried to force too many thing. That's fine, but it's better to do that against bench player. I'm all for him coming off the bench. Start Mathews.

If he goes out next game and put up that sht Statline, he shouldn't b starting.

Good effort on defense and clutch rebounds.

Dem Mobley mob will b on this thread soon tooting their horn if not already.

He has just hit a tough stretch, bad shooting efficiency.

That is why I never wanted a typical Shooting Guard, it is all about shooting percentages, lacking in other areas of the game.

Rafael would be hard pressed to build around that.
