Yes, if he is there draft him.

I only want this because I live in Korea and Rockets games on TV will double or triple with him on the team. I pray he doesn't go to a team like the Jazz, nothing but Jazz games might take away some of my love of the NBA.

I think if the kid is healthy and available why not?

he could be someone to develop as a backup center for Yao. Im Korean but I dont see this kid becoming a superstar but he does have something Yao doesnt have..

    endurance.

This kid can run up and down all game and not be tired.. which is pretty impressive, but of course the Korean games are probably alot slower.

As a backup center in the league he might be great. As a starter depends on him.

    J

*this could make for some interesting marketing and if we lose Cato we might need more big men.

Despite Ha’s limited experience, Perdue sees parallels between the teenager and the 7-foot-6, 229-pound Yao, who was part of the recent surge in foreign players to the NBA.

I am not so sure it is a typo. Perdue might actually mean it. :)

Yao took him out just two minutes of play last year Asian game, 3 fouls on Yao first two minutes. He did have a good dunk in his short stay on the court.
Well, Yao wasnt that good when he was 18 played U.S. in the Olympics. The Ha kid is kinda slower than Yao, if Yao is already slow. There is a reason his stock is slipping.
But, if he is availiable in the late 2nd round. I will say pick him up, hoping Yao might be able to bring him along.

    NO.
    1. He received basket training pretty late, so doesn't have the finesse that Yao has.
    2. He has already injured as a high school player.

Endurance? Personally I'd be pretty worried about him if he has problems playing a whole game against high schoolers... Koreans at that.

Well, Since Yao cannot play 48 minutes regularly when he played in Chinese league, I am sure Ha is more endurance if Ha can play a full game. And all Asian players (3 Chinese?) have foul problems when they first play in NBA. That part can be improved.

And since Ha's father was a former member of Korean bball national team and Ha's sister plays in Japan League now(?), I will guess he receives basketball trainning pretty early. However if that is true, then there would be a serious question on his learning ability. I mean there were reports that his bball skill is not very good. His shooting sucks too. And Korean ballers are traditionally very good shooters.

I'd rather seem him been drafted by some other team. Then we can see him playing against Yao instead with Yao. There are no chance both of them are on the court unless they plays against each other, anyway. He'll not get much play time by playing Yao's backup. JVG will force Yao to improve endurance by playing him through exhaustion. And Ha cannot play PF. ;) Signed by another team is good for the kid.

Have u guys seen him play? He sucks!! But u know, he might improve since then, so, I don't know. In fact, i think there are many other better korean players out there in terms of bastetball IQ and skills. user is right. Koreans are known for their shooting touch and fundamental skills, which i dont' see any of that in Ha yet.

I thought Yao was ugly when he first entered the league, these two guys are uglier.
