Maxey has been just as productive in his first year as a full time starter as Fox has this year. Maxey’s also a better perimeter shooter.

Because he's in love with Thybulle. Like the dude is a great defender and all but if trading him helps you alleviate about $70 million in capspace and can net you some decent players, Halliburton AND two 1sts...like c'mon Daryl.

    That trade package seems solid..?

    Tyrese Maxey/Seth Curry
    Tyrese Haliburton/Buddy Hield
    Danny Green/Furkan Korkmaz
    Harrison Barnes/Gorgui Niang
    Joel Embiid/Andre Drummond

Perimeter D would be weak but they will have very stellar perimeter shooting around Embiid.

+ 2 first round picks for a Kings team that will likely stay bad. If they really want to compete now, flip those picks for another star. Or go the other route and keep the picks. Maxey and Haliburton are still young. You can rebuild on the fly. Doesn't seem like a Morey thing to do though.

Kings are willing to take that burden of a contract that Tobias Harris has off their hands too. This seems sorta like a steal to me..
Daryl is either delusional or he's literally in love with Harden and is willing to hold off to chase him in the offseason.

The crazy part is that both Hield's and Barnes' contracts are front loaded so the Sixers would actually pay both less moving forward. Like, Daryl, we're giving you two solid players that opens up some salary cap flexibility for you moving forward, also giving you a stud in Halliburton AND two 1sts. What more do you want? The quasi-valuable pick swaps that's so en vogue nowadays?

Crazy right? lol IMO this trade would instantly make the Sixers a contender. Barnes is a solid defender at the 4 and provides range up to 3 pt line. Haliburton is one of the league's underrated stars, I think if given a larger role he would flourish and show everyone how good he really is. Plus 2 firsts on top and cleared 2 toxic max contracts lol Morey is mad man.

That or he's still madly in love with Harden like you said.

it was all cap from Morey. Have you forgotten how many times he almost landed multiple stars in houston? Thats his thing, a smokescreener.

I dont think Sac wanted to trade Fox anyway, the plan would have been to trade for Simmons and pair him with Fox.
