    Right but I don’t think they’ve ever been affiliated with the Astros or Rangers. They’re currently a Padres affiliate. Not sure 5k average attendance is indicative of a passion for baseball in that area. The Missions is one reason why I doubt affiliated ball would do very well in San Marcos or New Braunfels.

    5K puts you in the top 3rd of minor league attendance, their stadium only has 6000+ seats (not counting the grassy OF). Round Rock has 11K seats, averages 8500 btw (again not counting the grassy knoll), plus they're both in totally different city area/environments.

    SA loved the Dodgers back in the 80's-90's (farm team and all)...I'm assuming the Rangers becoming relevant since then, for the first time ever, has had an impact. That and the Astros just not giving a ****.

    I'm going with Stros. Or something related to Astros. I'd be shocked if they went with Sugarland Crawdads.

    Meh, Skeeters was fine for a minor league club.

    This seems too try hard, and nobody is gonna say a team name with 2 words. It's in their nature to shorten names, so they're just gonna end up being called...the Cowboys.

    Stupid. Why not something like Flyers or Jets or Aeros, they're right across from SL regional airport. The dumb name is right up there with Texans.
