    Yeah I feel the same.

Ties to Mike Zimmer and Eberflus
Ties to Caserio thru different connections Ohio ties.
Was supposedly going to be McDaniels DC when he was going to be HC

Those are the most superficial similarities you can make.

Surprised he didn't include "both are male" on the list.

Really interesting that the Pats haven't received interview requests for McDaniels. HCIW scenario seems the most plausible.

Complete conjecture on my part but makes the most sense. HCIW with no other interviews caveat.

Best job is subjective. He’ll probably have the best job security here with being buddies with Easterby and Caseiro. Meanwhile going to Giants and Bears there will be immediate pressure to win.

Easterby and Caserio have shown they are just as ruthless as any other front office.

"Jonathan Gannon is an impressive head coaching candidate for the Texans. League sources are highly complimentary of his intelligence, knowledge of the game and ability to teach, connect with players."

"On new Texans coach David Culley, league sources praised him for his energy, culture fit, work ethic and people skills."
"Lot of people happy for new Texans head coach David Culley with one source calling him a "genuine, good guy" who paid his dues for decades to become a head coach."
"David Culley has made a really strong impression with his people skills, knowledge of the game and ability to connect with players. NFL colleagues have called Culley ‘rare’ in his ability to gain a buy-in with players."
