For everyone saying sit Gordon (not saying you’re wrong) if you were another team thinking about trading for him and the team he is currently on is so worried he might injure himself again that they put him in bubble wrap, wouldn’t that lower the price in your mind?

Just thinking about it from the other guys’ perspective….

If the rockets were trading for a player with fairly extensive injury history, who was coming from a team where he was sat down due to fear of another injury…just as a fan I’d probably want my team to explore other options or not give up much value for said player.

Also from the Rockets perspective, wouldn’t sitting him then be calling even more attention to the fear of him being injured again?

I think we've been "sitting him" some already with this mysterious groin injury that gets mentioned when Eric misses a game. Eric suits up for the next game, plays maybe 30 minutes or the upper 20's, and looks fantastic. I think we aren't fooling any GM's with that, in my opinion. They understand the strategy and I don't think it has an impact on trading for him any greater than Gordon's overall history. If anything, considering how well Eric has played during the playoffs when healthy, he's a very desirable addition for a playoff run.

Heck, the Pacers may be wishing they'd had Turner sit out a game here and there, although it likely wouldn't have made any difference and Turner didn't turn 33 recently. Turner's injury, exactly where you don't want a big man to get hurt, is bad luck for Indiana.

Honestly… if I was the gm id probably want him sat till the deadline at this point. I wouldn’t want him to get injured because he sat too long of course so there’s a fine line but a few games prior to the trade so he’s nice and fresh and ready to play heavy minutes.. yes I’d rather have the player fresh… just not too fresh because us former athletes know that if you sit too long and then jump off the bench you are more likely to get an injury.

I think he’s proven that he’s healthy right now enough for a gm to not be too worried about him being damaged goods. Any GM though trading for a player like that will for sure put heavy contingency’s on passing a rigorous physical if they are giving up assets for him. Forget which date the deadline is but I think we are close enough to go ahead and put him in a bubble.

What's the temperature on Lonzo Ball? Contracts lineup and Bulls have an interest in EG reportedly. EG is shorter money for a team that may or may not max out LaVine. Not a terrible contract for Lonzo Ball, except for the player option on year 4.

Lonzo is still young (we'd have him for the early part of his prime), he plays more traditional point, he's not ball dominant, and he defends, but he's not particularly great at anything. Lonzo Ball feels like more of an above average point guard that is a good floor raiser. Feels like we'd have to give up a pick(s) or swap pick(s).

There is no way the Bulls trade Lonzo. He's a big part of what is going on over there.

Houston In: Jarred Vanderbilt, Josh Okogie and D'Angelo Russell
Minnesota In: Eric Gordon, Daniel Theis and unprotected 2nd Rounder.

Rockets get younger and cut salary (possibly flip Russell)?
Minnesota loads up for their playoff chase

Yes, but we'll be in the playoffs and we'll be building culture. We could have an "All Yogurt Team" sponsored by Yoplait or Dannon. Maybe sponsor some Greek yogurt and get the next Giannis Onomatopoeia and foreign fans. Tilman, you can thank me later.

Gordon to Denver for Jamychal Green+Michael Porter and 2022 FRP unprotected and pick swap options in 2024 and 26. *IDK, maybe they still value MPJ but Id be trying to move off that deal.

If anything, the Bulls are buyers not sellers .... Can't see them parting with Lonzo as he's been a big factor in their being the current #1 seed in the East.

That's one of the two places I've been trying to find a way to send Wood but can't come up with anything that works - the other place is DC.

Why would Minni do that trade? It's terrible for them.

That's fair and I generally agree. I just wonder what they really are going to do with LaVine. And if they do intend to pay LaVine the max or super max (if he gets all nba) then will they still be sellers?

I really like Ball for where this Rockets team is but it will have to be an overpay to get him. I also like Rubio for this current Rockets team... maybe we can sign him and let him rehab for some of 2022 season since we will still probably be a bottom 10 team.

I don't think Lavine is going anywhere either. They are likely going to pay him the salary he demands. I know the Bulls are cheap, but they would move other pieces as opposed to trading their star player.
