    This is a meaningless chart, top rated audio / radio talk hosts have always had high ratings, adult fanboys fellating the eighth lead from News Radio is not a paradigm shift.

    News was originally a cost center forced on networks by the government.

    Art Bell probably beat MacNeil Lehrer all the time, no new information.

    I used to enjoy his Coast to Coast show, Art Bell reached epic proportions when aliens swooped down and kidnapped him during his show.

    Actually reading long form nuanced articles from actual trained journalists is the best method to obtain news.

    No, the wsj definitely has worthwhile content. From what I noticed, right wing outlets, not Conservative ones, like Briebart don't really do really detailed long form articles with extensive analysis like NYT or WSj. Probably catering to their audience knowing they mostly absorb content through memes and Joe Rogan.

    Honestly, who here just sits around watching Fox News or CNN all day? If so, why?

    I haven’t watched 1 second of CNN in over a year, and I have never in my life watched Fox News…if it wasn’t always being posted on here, I would have no clue what the latest was from Hannity and the rest of them

    look at the people here that you never seen in the GARM in your life.
    And look at the thread titles talking about the CNN/FOX shows and hosts.

    It's the exact same thing as the GARM freaking out what Colin Cowherd or Stephen A or Chris Brousard when they give a take about the Rockets.

    It's the same thing, provoke the audience in order to get them to watch their show.

    Nothing more, nothing less.

    None of these shows are actually called THE NEWS

    it's called the RACHEL MEADOW SHOW or HANNITY

    A bunch of old ass people that have nothing better to do. I feel the same about the people who religiously listen to Rogen and Limbaugh. It's like listening to the same preacher every Sunday getting direction on how to think and act.

    Several podcasts are outperforming corporate media primetime shows, not just Rogan.

    That said, this chart is odd to me. Why would you compare Rogan's podcast, which has entertainers, comedians, academics, and other types of people to shows that are strictly political opinion shows? Rogan occupies a different space than those TV shows do.

    It would make more sense to compare those shows to podcasts that are about politics.

    look at the ads they show during their shows
