Was about to say the same thing.

 

I am half black and half white, I have been screaming for years that we need more black coaches in the NBA. The fact that I dont want Silas to be the Houston coach speaks volumes about how bad he is. I wanted more black coaches but they have to be good, jesus he is an embarassment.

 

We have shooters such as Garrison and Armoni. Even Gordon this year. But if they don't get the ball because our point guard is a ball stopper then it looks like we don't have shooters at all.

Get a point guard who can penetrate and find the shooters we do have and we'll start making shots.

never, i give rookies lots of time, but this call for him to play 30mpg a night might not even happen if he had the chance because he just finds easy fouls to give up

Last time he played heavy minutes he didnt have a foul. The entire "he fouls too much" thing is completely overblown and just an excuse at this point. Case and point anytime someone else has 5 fouls in a game we dont even think about it because SIlas just keeps playing them. Silas took Sengun out when he had 3 fouls one time and kept KPJ in at 5. Its just an overblown excuse that he has made now into a big thing. The only way for him to learn to stay on the floor is to play more not yank him out. It seems you have given up on him but dont have the balls to own up to being a hypocrite.

 

You realize there are a bunch of guys above kpj in apg on teams that don't have a bunch of guys knocking down shots all over the place right?

In fact as a team Houston's shooting percentage is actually better than last year. On that team Wall averaged a full assist more per game than kpj which was also Wall's lowest apg since he entered the league.


Also, Houston is 20th in shot percentage.

OKC is dead last.


KpJ has a usage rate of 24.

Josh Giddey has a usage rate of 21.

Who do you think has more apg? The guy with the higher usage on the better shooting team?

That'd make sense. But no....that's not the case.


Sure kpj may get more assist if the team shot better. Other players on the team may get more assist if he shot better too. But there's 10 other teams below us in shooting percentage. And there are two teams shooting the exact same percent as us as a team.

Out of those 12 teams there are at least 5 players on those teams with better apg numbers than kpj doing a quick looksie.

But all that aside, you know what may help the team shoot better? A pg that could actually run an offense, made good passes and got guys easy buckets sometimes.

I'm not saying that he never passes, but that he usually looks to shoot fairly contested or dribble a bunch without going anywhere as his primary decision

Shot clock goes down and possessions are wasted with a bad shot or turnover
