Episode 2 was really good imo. If you weren't a fan of the 1st episode, I think this episode will save the series for you and keep you interested.
Definitely better episode Disney seems to go with .. . .well how ever long it takes to tell the story They don't have a set timeframe Rocket River
Thought this episode was a masterclass. It opened up so many opportunities for lore and storylines for the planet, the tribes, the force, and so much more. It was visually striking. It had great train action. Some humor. Great characters like the Hutts and Mayor. Unbelievable if you ask me.
The first few episodes of Mandelorian were pretty weak, too, imo. Not loving it, but ill give it at least the season. Definatley looking forward to seeing Debo the Wookie, though.
i got disney+ so i could watch the beatles documentary and then i binge watched both seasons of mandalorian in under two weeks and went right into boba fett. so im feeling really immersed in this world right now. im loving both series, but i thought the premise of book of boba fett was odd - that this lifetime vagabond bounty hunter-for-hire decides to settle down in tattoine and become a local crime lord. doesnt seem very "boba fetty" to me. but maybe it will be explained in the sandpeople story-line...on that note, if im going to nitpick about anything it would be them jumping around the timeline b/t the two stories. id rather see it in a linear fashion. i love the way they are incorporating side characters from the OG movies - sandpeople, jawas, jabbas (those two cousins are hilarious and you know we will see more of them) and an evil wookie. there are endless storylines they can do with all them.
On the timeline issue. A bad example was the Witcher. But, if you are going to do it the Fett is a better example. The difference is that Fett is only doing it with one character so far, so you can follow it. The Witcher's mistake was trying it with like 5 characters so while you could figure it out eventually, it was really tough each time you switched scenes to keep figuring out when the hell you were and with who. So I don't mind this.
Only continuity gripe was them highjacking the train at warp speed going at least a couple miles per minute but the entire tribe caught to them on foot when it all ended. That lizard took mind ****ing to a whole nother level The show made me wonder if there were historical moments where people would do drive bys on trains with the whole Dances With Banthas origin story, but then I realized I've been watching too much fantasy lately. Still liking Favreau's vision in these shows.
I took it as some of the tribe were decoys, but most of the warriors were placed ahead to be ready to attack when they were signaled train was almost to them.
Does this show have a plot? The second episode was fun but I have no clue of what direction they’re going.
Really enjoyed the second episode. The brain lizard was silly but the whole train fighting scene was great. It’s fun to explore other parts of the universe and not all Skywalker all the time.
i still don't understand how this dude is so famous. i never got any "epic badass" vibes from him watching the old movies as a kid. quite the opposite, actually. it wasn't until recently did i notice people make a big deal out of a side character that "died" accidentally in the pit. tho on a related note, i liked the ewoks alot. so my opinion doesn't matter.
Guessing Boba Fett will get into a gang battle with the twins over Tantooine. The twins will get the upper hand and then the Tusken Raiders will show up to turn the tide.
