This is a great thread. I'm 26 soon to be 27 and was born and raised in Houston. I went to school in the Oak Ridge/Conroe area. I went into the Navy right out of HS. I met my wife while living in Chicago and we have been married almost 8 years. We have a 6 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. We moved back to Houston after I got out of the Navy and I work in the IT field. When the market went to crap a year or two ago we moved to Indy. We lived there for about a year and are now in Charlotte. I just started playing golf and I like to play tennis. I also started working out again recently and I enjoy doing that. We like going to the lake on weekends to play on our jet ski. Most of our life revolves around our kids.

Let me see how vague I can be here... 31 years old. Born in Birmingham, AL during a temporary move out of Houston. (My mother has never forgiven my father for that.) Grew up in NW Houston. Graduated with BA in Poli Sci from UTSA. Gave some of the best years of my life to UT and Steve Jobs in Austin. Married my high school sweetheart. Now work at a college in Houston. (Don't ask which one.) 1L starting in the Fall.
OK, I'll play. I'm a single 26-year old currently living in Houston. I was born in New Orleans and raised (for the most part) in Cypress... (lived in Malaysia and Florida for a few years in the 80s as a child) Went off to UT in 1996 and graduated in 4 years with an M.S. in Computer Sciences. Took a job with Motorola as an intern in my senior year and it became a full time job. Tech industry crashed, I was unemployed for 18 months, moved to Houston to search for more opportunities and ended up as a manager at a tax consulting firm. Now I live in the Galleria area and my days are spent working out at the gym, watching sports and Sportscenter, spending my days at work and my weekends catching up on the millions of TiVo'ed shows I have from the week.
4th generation Houstonian...grew up here, and loved it. went to Baylor...graduated, got married and came home for law school all within about a 6 month period. after law school, started my own practice, dealing primarily in commercial litigation, taking a "in-house counsel" approach with businesses and in the area of probate and estate planning. the father of one...with another on the way. met Smarty Jones in 2004, and my life hasn't been the same since. (come on..you know i couldn't go through a post w/o something about Smarty!)
Single 24 year old. Born in Michigan, raised in Chicago and then headed south to Vanderbilt for school. Graduated in 2002 with a BS in Human and Organizational Development and moved to Houston four days later to start my dream job, where I've been ever since. When I'm not working......wait, I'm ALWAYS working......well, if I wasn't working, I'd be hanging with my girls causing trouble, going to see live music, going to ball games, traveling every chance I get and chilling by the pool. I'm 28 yrs old and have lived in Houston all my life. I went to college for air conditioning to always have something to fall back on in case my little ventures didn't pan out. Right now I'm currently working for a telecom company in sales. But I am about to venture off and start my own company selling voice over ip telephone service. Not married no kids love the Rockets, Astros and Texans. I spend my free time watching movies, running and playing sports.
Hmmm...I may know you... Born in Houston Grew up in Bellaire, then moved to the 'burbs on the NW side where I went to HS. Went to Sam Houston State on a music scholarship Worked a number of jobs after college, but now I'm working at AIG. I live in The Heights, but I'm buying my first house this summer. I play in a band but we rarely play public gigs. Mostly private parties and corporate gigs. Someday soon, I hope to quit my day job and support myself by teaching lessons and playing. No kids (that I'm aware of), one cat named Weezer. Currently an unrestricted free-agent.
I suppose I'll play along...... Single and 21 years old. I'm from Houston and live there during the summer. During the school year, I'm a student at Vanderbilt University. My major is economics, and my minor is "Managerial Studies: Leadership and Organization" at Peabody (part of Vandy). Not too exciting a life at the moment. Didn't find a good internship or job this summer, so I'm relaxing and listening to my beloved 610 sports radio. And of course, enjoying being back in the wonderful city of Houston. Oh and I'm a sports fanatic of course.
I'll be 46 in two weeks. I've been in and out of prison and rehab since I was 17. A few months ago, I shot and killed a drifter just to get an erection. One of the original but unreleased Muppets was based on me. Not many men would be brave enough to admit that the love of their life is lavender-scented potpourri, and neither am I. Right now I work on a construction crew building Texas Superhighway 45, but I'm just killing time until the machines take over and Skynet unleashes a global holocaust, forcing me to lead the human resistance against the robot army.
I'm a 23-year old daughter of a hotel tycoon. I am currently touring the country with a friend of mine in a pink pickup truck with a camper on the back. I enjoy shoe shopping and jet-setting. Some of you may recognize me from an embarrassing video that leaked to the press.

I am 21 years old and a currently a Junior, but weeks away from becoming a Senior Political Science major at Texas A&M University (that's in College Station for some people who may not know). I was supposed to graduate on time, but I've recently decided to get a minor in Business, so I could be here for an extra summer and fall semester. I was born in Houston as were my brother and sisters, my mom is from Nicaragua, my dad from Mexico and Guatemala. They both left Nicaragua after the communist sandinistas took over and ended up here in Houston in 1979, I believe. I haven't been able to get a job and right now the financial aid dept has done everything you can imagine to slow down an alternative student loan i recieved from getting to me, stupid bureaucracy. 2 days ago, the internet went down in my apartment, turns out it wasn't my ethernet port, my ethernet card was fried during a bad storm we had and I am pissed.
I am 17. I graduated from Cy-Creek last May, and I currently work at Chuck E Cheese. I will attend Cy-Fair College in the fall and hopefully transfer to UH after that. I have been a Rockets fan ever since I was living in an apartment and my family and I went to Popeyes and I got a mini Rockets basketball goal that said something to the effect of "Love that chicken, Love them Rockets."

Alrighty... I'm 35, born and raised in Houston. I've been happily married for 8+ years to Mrs JB. She and I live in the Heights area of Houston with our myriad of cats. Clutch (the guy who owns this site, not the bear) and I own a web development company called Two Roads Media, Inc. which we've had since 2001. Rocketeer is our creative director. We've done work for a wide range of clients. I've also been a musician for 20 years and currently continue to play with two bands.
I'm 32. Originally from a small town in Iowa, I have lived in Houston since 88, except for when I was in college back in Iowa. On Monday I will have been married 7 years to my wife. We have a cat and a min-pin. Most of my time in Houston has been devoted to doing theatre. I was a sound man at the Alley for a few years and now run a very small company that puts shows on at Midtown Art Center. I obsess over the Rockets, Iowa Football, and my music collection.
good, I'm 31 years old, born in the hospital and grew up in Switzerland on the countryside. Now I am living in St. Gallen which is quite old city in the eastern part of Swizz. I work as an import/export tradesman for textiles, hardware, etc. for 3 days a week. The rest I work at a record store with some cool clothes to sell. I am also developing own 60's styles biker jackets which start selling quite good. This keeps me from freaking out. I am living together with my girlfriend for about 3 years now and will move to a bigger apartment the next 3 weeks. Well, I like music the most after spending time with my girlfriend and buddies. I am still a f........ party b*stard and I am DJing in my sparetime. Not much sports,........no kids. well.......
