For reference, Kobe looks the same. As for Griffin might be still growing according to Rudy. He looked alot taller than Rodney White and he is listed at 6'9.

When Kobe came into the league out of high school, he was 6-6. Now, he's closer to 6-8.

That's what I thought BimaThug. Kobe definitely grew. And Rodney White is listed at 6-9, but I've seen him play, he is definitely 6-6 or 6-7.

Kobe 6'8???? Be real Rocks!! Compare Tracy Mac to Kobe - obvious height advantage. Macgrady is 6'8. Kobe is a legit 6'6 maybe 6'7 if you stretch him. He was 6'5 coming out of high school, so yes he might be taller but not by much. Don't let the fro fool you.

I never said Kobe was 6-8, BimaThug did. But I can guarantee you that Kobe grew a few inches from when he first came into the league. Whether it was from 6-6 to 6-8 I don't know, but I know he grew. 19 year olds rarely stop growing, and Kobe definitely is taller then he was when he first broke in.

    Griffin is now 6'10"

    From a New Jersey newspaper-

One statistically impressive year at Seton Hall combined with some strong showings at individual team workouts has catapulted the 6-foot-10 forward -- who has grown an inch since leaving Seton Hall -- closer to his childhood dream of going No. 1 in the draft.

According to some pre-draft measurements I had seen, Eddie Griffin was measured at 6-10 1/4 in shoes and 6-9 1/4 without shoes. Griffin's wingspan was measured out at 7-3 and his weight was 224 pounds if I remember correctly. I wouldnt be shocked if he is still growing, both Kobe and Garnett grew after they entered the league.

I wonder if anyone knows if GriffIn is still growing or has stopped? Robinson grew 6 inches in college. Kobe appears to have grown a couple of inches in the NBA.

Wow, MManal. I knew that Griffin was a good shotblocker, but I didn't realize that his wingspan was so much longer than his height. The more and more I hear about this guy, the bigger a genius Rudy, Les, and CD become.

I would rather have Mo Taylor and his love of the Rockets than Webber and his love of our money.

Rocket's need power forward. Mo near now. Go near Mo.

Why does the NBA mesure players without there shoes on? Is there going to be a rule change that makes it illegal to play in shoes. last time I checked these guys play with their shoes on so it would be logical to think you would mesure them with their shoes on.

Its great to hear the kid is still growing though

    Ummmm.....

Measurements without shoes will reflect a players true height. Shoes on may add and inch or two, but obviously this will vary from player to player, depending on shoe company. It's all about having a standard, and the only surefire way to know how tall players are in comparison to each other is to measure them with their shoes off - I mean that's the way most people get measured isn't it?
