I remember being happy we got him. My memory of him on the Celtics was good defense, dunking and the occasional three but yeha I was totally wrong about that he is nowhere near what I imagined.
also , you know the team would look sharp after wood and KPJ . Onus is on them to step up next opportunity .
The bad thing is when Green can’t score he also didn’t do others. If you can’t make shots, you still can grab rebounds and make plays for others.
Can we extend kpj and wood suspension? It has been fun watching this game without them. The chemistry is better.
someone really needs to leave Theis tied up in his hotel room before next game…I can’t take much more Silas asking where Theis is because the game is about to start while Tate lets out a slight smile Theis meanwhile back at the hotel like
Everyone's trashing Theis. I get it. 1-8. He has GOT to make a few of those shots, just to keep defenses honest. But you know what? Our offense is so much more fluid when we don't have a center that's demanding the ball every possession, pissed off whenever he doesn't get it, and yelling at guys during timeouts to pass him the ball. Theis has 6 boards, 3 of them on the offensive end, and is doing as well as he can against Embiid (Embiid, imo, is the best center in the NBA, so no surprise by his performance).
Opponent could not score 70+ at the first half! Great success. Fed up watching non-competitive games. Hats off for Tate's 4 assists and Martin's 7 rebounds.
A lot has to do with our young players too though. He has that habit like Wood to slide out to the three instead of rolling to the basic. iDK if it's because that what the play calls for or what but Theis and every player should know that play should be modified when Theis is out there. Shooting was never his thing. He could do better with some easy touches like we used to get Capela. Harden was setting up Clint though so there's that.
