I'd say it does, it's misleading. Current measurements are out of shoes, so he's literally 3/4 inch shorter than Kobe Bryant.

It doesn't matter. They are scratching and clawing for anything. Not many if any are saying he doesn't have plenty of improving to do but they're pulling out blatant lies. His height has never been an issue. Even if he is 6'4 or 6'5 that doesn't translate to anything meaningful because these dudes aren't playing barefoot last time I checked. His strength is his biggest physical limitation but height never has been. I've seen mfs on here saying he is 6'2 lmao

The lengths these people are going to are ridiculous, it's getting really old now. Most of them come across like they don't even really watch basketball with how false their assertions are. Mu****ers making me dig up news articles from 2017 to prove things that were widely known for years is one thing. Trying to paint somebody as too short when they're literally less than an inch shorter than one of the greatest SG's of all time is just asinine.

Fwiw: Current NBA measurements are also made to the inch. There are no 1/2, 1/4 or 3/4” listings. So not sure how we can be so precise to suggest 3/4” difference, when they apparently round to nearest inch, nowadays.

Vanessa Bryant said she measured Kobe without shoes and he was 6'4 3/4. So I'm pretty sure we can. Even it it's rounded up, he has to be within half an inch of 6'4, so the difference in height is totally negligible, especially once they put shoes on.

Looking great recently, hard work pays off over time.

He honestly hasn't even scratched the surface of his potential.

The goal should be Kobe's work ethic on his game, body/longevity and the mental aspects of the game. Elevate yourself then your teammates.

Learn from everyone, the all time greats and guys hungry to make it in the league. Do shooting contests with Garrison, Armoni and Gordon.

Find someone better in other aspects, wing defense, passing/playmaking, leadership. Study them and then try to outpeform them.

I personally think Green will be a better Lavine. Excited about his growth.

Mobley is great. No doubt about it. But it seems a large portion of the discussions around him say how great he is while also clowning the Rockets for taking somebody else. The Pistons, however, are never clowned.

Green is really coming on strong. Had he played like this all season, we would have no shot at Banchero or Chet. The Rockets could be really good in a few years with another top 2 pick. The same goes for Detroit, but to lesser extent as they not as deep as the Rockets now, but will likely have a higher pick this year.

Mobley looks great, but his fast start may have prevented Cleveland from surrounding him with any significant rookie talent for a while.

They're really working hard on his off ball game both sides of the floor and he somehow already looks like he put on some muscle. Being a great catch and shoot player extends and stabilizes your career, makes you less streaky, they're doing the right thing.

Btw if you suck at defense as a 19 year old rookie, it's going to take more than one season to fully fix it. Be realistic, the progress he's shown has been great. Reports of his off court work plus his consistent defensive energy really confirm to me that it's not all talk, this kid is interested in learning team and individual defense. He's still a below average defender if you ask me, but that's a massive improvement over a 20-30 game span.

On the ball, his first step, PnR and 3pt shot are already showing incredible promise - could end up elite at any of these. I'm not sure what more we can ask for from a 19 year old. I don't buy that he can't put on muscle, that's going to be a very temporary problem. They said that about Capela and Yao too. He's going to get stronger (lean) while remaining quick, and that alone will improve his defense and finishing on drives.

I'm in no rush to hand over an offense to him yet, he's improving at a solid pace and we're not ignoring defense and fundamentals like some teams do when they get a lotto pick. If he's an efficient 20 points with defensive effort and selfless play every night at the end of his rookie season, we've got ourselves an incredible prospect and a likely future MAX-worthy player.

What? One player cannot change the outlook of a team completely....

no matter if he is Rookie Lebron or Rookie Kobe, maybe only rookie Hakeem as he is so balanced on O and D.

Lebron definitely could change the outlook of a team. That Cavs team during Lebron's first run there had no business making finals appearances but they somehow made them because Lebron.

I edited it to Rookie Lebron and the East was a joke compared to the West, back then even.

I did not watch Rookie LBJ extensively but it would demand the hell out of a rookie to run a team like that.

IIRC the Spurs did not tank a second time after Duncan so you might be right.

Provided that You had the Admiral MVP to tutor him. There was a lockout season and shortened season.

Keep in mind Tony Parker and Ginobili were both very late picks that panned out way better than expected.

Too much to ask of Green though.

Of course one player can change the outlook of a team.
