Forgot Wilson is not super powered. I guess if Wilson Fisk's power is looking super fatt. Wilson can hang with superpowered because he.... ...has a shield? ...has Wilson in his name?
Kingpin's clothes are all bulletproof / shockproof. Same guy made Daredevil's suit. (Its in S1 of Daredevil on Netflix)
Did not like him getting stuck in the tree. C'mon. And I was never able to buy into the Widow trying to kill off the Hawkeye. For someone who is so smart, how could she completely miss on this, and suddenly come around at the last possible second. Silly. Then you got King Pin, who was a bit overpowered, and yet, I'm not sure it could have been done better, it just was what it was. King Pin was like, eh. The most interesting storyline is what will become of the swordsman.
Marvel copied the whole Martha thing between Sups and Bats. When Hawkeye whistled and Yelena was like "why? Why did you whistle like that?". Even the reason Yelena was after Barton made even less sense than BvS. Yet, not a peep about it from the critics. Loved Kingpin, awesome to have him back, even closer to comic book version still. Highlight of the show for me. Jack was a silly red herring, funny at times, but when it's time to shine all the guns disappear and suddenly tracksuit mobsters are all carrying swords? Weird.
Because the whistle shared a personal connection between Hawkeye and Yelena through Black Widow. Martha was a pure coincidental name, that Superman yelled for no reason. Yelena was hired to kill Hawkeye. She gladly accepted the job because she felt that Hawkeye killed her sister.
Weak sauce. A little research, a little talk and problem solved. At least Batman had proof of Superman's potential to destroy the whole planet. Mind you, BvS did it poorly but so did Hawkeye.
He yelled you have to save Martha because he wanted Batman to save Martha Kent after Clark was dead. It was a plot contrivance based on the big two having mothers with the same name, but he certainly had a reason.
Are Batman & Superman's moms in the comics both named Martha? Kind of a lazy coincidence by the creators/early writers if so.
Finished it last night. It was ok. Better than Falcon and Winter Soldier, worse than Loki and WandaVision.
If that is the case. In retrospect. I actually give Snyder a little credit for making a connection out of nothing. It seemed cheesy at the time. But if someone I was beating the **** out of mentioned my mom by NAME I'd probably be confused too actually. Jarred enough to at least stop pummeling and listen. And they had the SAME NAME since the 30's? That's kinda... cute... to give a nod to that seemingly ignored connection 100 years later.
I know I’m late, but I just finished this yesterday and well, yeah… this is one I could’ve easily done without felt to me like this show should’ve been down their kicking it with those street Avengers on Netflix like Luke Cage and Jessica Jones Kate Bishop was annoying, the villians were cartoons, and I know they didn’t just do Kingpin like that… Speaking of which, did his big ass take Super Soldier serum or something? He has the strength of like 10 men Pet peeve of mine now, but can we stop with the Hollywood cliche of a dog having to whine or cry every single time it’s shown on screen? Why do they always have to do that? out of Wandavision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki, and this goofy sh*t, I liked Loki the best…looking forward to Kang
Lol, i gave up picking the show apart and it grew on me halfway. I guess you can't totally hate a show you drag yourself to watch every week vs 5hr binge watching fueled by puny unpowered avenger prejudice. I mean that rich girl got spunk...
This series actually reminded me of all the the old 4-part or 6-part comic mini series they used to roll out in Marvel back in the 80s. Just one kinda wacky story, not necessarily linked to a giant story like Secret Wars, Infinity Gauntlet, Fall of Mutants, etc.
Is he really in critical condition? I just now saw something about that. All the news has been about the football player.
Sheesh. I just saw a video on his Instagram of him on the snow plow. The tracks on that thing could have ran over 2 whole people. Apparently he ran over his leg and he lost a lot of blood and was in critical but stable condition. Had 2 surgeries. Out of surgery now. I also read other articles saying he had blunt force trauma to his chest, though? How does that happen with a snow plow? I think it's just the leg and i wonder if he'll be able to do action scenes after this. His leg must be completely wrecked. Professor Xavier reboot?
