I assume that a ticket purchase includes some kind of waiver about injuries from balls bouncing around at a ballgame.
Don't know if she could be making up the hairline fracture, though. In any case, I'm not sure how you can hold anybody at fault for this, but then the legal system in this country works in mysterious ways. She was in the wrong place at the right time.
Just because you get hit in the face with a basketball doesn't excuse you from work. Amirite, @Os Trigonum ?
Several of the posters in this thread are famous for being incredibly stupid on things much less complicated than concussions or hairline fractures. Not going to name names, but if you just read the comments, it's pretty easy to tell.
I don't see what the big deal is. Chick upset she got hit by a ball and was injured and has to miss work, wants an apology vs free tickets. Okay.
So you don't, or you wait until a dead ball. Did she know she was at a game where a ball is flying being tossed around by 7 foot tall giants? Arena fine print on tickets probably has something that covers this. Accidents happen. If it was malicious that's a different story, and this clearly wasnt.
In his defense, he tweeted that right after the game. He didn't know she was hurt. However, once he found out she was he should have reached out immediately.
i feel like we should get a thread going where we all post our bellowing laughs. and then email link to the thread to this 'inside edition'
I was at the game and my hornets fan friend caught the whole thing on video from a different angle. Her head really whips back hard...
